I miss these games. Gears just absolutely doesnt feel the same anymore. I played gears 1 2 and 3 years after their release basically their entire life cycle. Gears 4 not so long and Gears 5 i stopped.playing a month after release. They've desecrated this franchise for me from the top to the bottom. Graphics is the only thing that got exceptionally better

Story wise it falls as it’s not as compelling as the first three and the first three are a good conclusion to the franchise as a whole and I wouldn’t mind if they stopped there and made prequels like the pendulum wars or more DLC gameplay like Raams shadow as it was more refreshing to play as the opposing side. I do feel that there are a bit of politics as well regarding Gears 5 and that kind of ruined it for me, like Captain Marvels surrounding politics regarding a powerful female role it made the movie less enjoyable knowing that’s running through your head. Nothing bad with female protagonist but only if it’s used naturally and making the character a relatable character.
Maybe you just grew up that happens. If you pay attention the new games aren’t bad and fit into the original trilogy. Not to mention many of the ideas and lore around the new games aren’t to far off from what Cliffy b envisioned.

Notice how in gears 2 the voice lines for losing is more calmer than gears 3? I believe it is because in gears 3 the war was about to end. Either the Locust won or the Humans won.
Oh Jeez this takes me back. I still can quote most of these from memory. Did you pull up game files or record this from the game itself? One that thing that always bothered me is that some of the music that accompanies the victory quotes, I can't find in the OST. For example, the one at 3:55 has a song that sounds similar to the one the that the COG have for one of their victory quotes, but the Locust version sounds more...majestic?
