I can only speak for my Warby parker glasses. I have sat on them, rolled over on them, and stepped on them(barefoot) and they haven't broken yet. I've had them for almost 3 years.
I received my five free try-ons for five days. I found a pair I love love. Chatted with Warby online abt getting progressive lenses. Reasonable price. Love them. Ordering today!!
I don't have a lot of money to spend on glasses and I've had mine for 3 years and they don't work for me anymore. I really hope this works out. Thanks for your review!
I've ordered the free try ons twice. I have 2 pairs and I'm ordering a third, mostly because the previous pairs aren't the best quality but the value makes it worth it for now. Their plastic feels okay but my main issue their scratch resistant option. It's not scratch resistant, at all. I don't mistreat my glasses before you jump to judgement. I always opt for that coating and theirs are the only glasses I own that scratch easily.
I'm a retired optician and it's very interesting to me to see the way glasses have really become a "must have" fashion accessory over the past 10 years or so. I'm sure your mom was was surprised that you were so excited about needing to start wearing glasses. She's right, when she was your age and in 8th grade it was about the worst thing a girl could have happen to her to be told that she was going to have to start wearing lasses. Back then an attractive young girl considered having to wear glasses as being the kiss of death for her. Back then a girl would do everything possible to not be seen wearing glasses. I very well remember in my high school days the prettiest girl in school was not only the captain of the cheerleaders but also prom queen as well. She lived next door to my best friend so because of that I got to know her pretty well and I have to admit every time went to my friends house I was hoping she would be out in her yard. A few months after she graduated I was surprised to see her wearing glasses. She said hello to me and I walked over to talk to her. I finally said to her "I ddin't know you wore glasses" She smiled and said she had just gotten them a few days ago and she was still getting used to wearing them. I told that she looked really nice wearing glasses. She thanked me and and she told me that she knew for a while that she needed glasses but she was determined to hold off getting glasses until she graduated because she just couldn't see herself wearing glasses and being a cheerleader. So I know your mom had to be surprised at your being excited about needing glasses. Even though you must also wear contacts you still seem to like wearing your glasses. But you're right, glasses are so nice looking these days that even the girls with perfect eyesight want to wear glasses. I really like your new glasses. They suit you very well. Being clear they really don't block or cover your face much at all.
@Jim Bolce - I agree with him 100%. These things are cyclical but yet still surprising. For example, when I was in school in the 70's and 80's buying lunch was quite the thrill for 50 cents. However, today, my daughter begs my wife to make her lunch. Also, when I was in High School, vo-tech was for the kids who smoked who would learn the trades. Today, the STEM program at the local vo-tech is is top notch. Also, to be successful, one has to be educated but not college educated. It's all good fun!
You do indeed look amazing in these glasses. I ended up buying a couple of Warby Parker frames in the past couple of weeks, and I'm delighted with them. Thank you for your input.
I've been wearing contacts/glasses for 25 years and have terrible eyesight (-10 lol!) and have to say I was pretty impressed with the process from start to finish. Super smooth and easy to pick glasses out, return, etc and I love that they call your optometrist for you to get the prescription so no awkward chat :) Here's a quick video review I made: th-cam.com/video/MmPM150ugS0/w-d-xo.html
I went into a store here in Chicago and I was pretty impressed. Should get the glasses in a week or so. Excited, because as you say, they had so many different styles to choose from. I was amazed they could do an eye test in 20 minutes, and that felt a bit rushed, but overall, it seems like a great company. I had mine shipped to the store as well, so I hope I get a cool bag too!
Thanks for the review! I'm looking at them now, because they are so much less expensive than my eye doctor. I like the frames in my eye doctor's office better, but Warby Parker is less than half as much money.
Thanks for the review, most of what I was finding was sponsored content. I just ordered a pair in one of their stores so I haven't had a chance to use them but I did want to let you it was only $30 extra to get the High-Index lenses (The lenses when you have a really strong prescription) they still offered me the poly-carbonate lenses which are what it sounds like you got its just with a stronger prescription the lenses will be heavier and may not fit in the frames as well, in a way that makes the lenses protrude slightly on either side of the frame when seen from anything but head on. (I had a pair from a different company a long time ago that was like that and it kinda detracted from the look of the frame, at least that was my opinion on it)
All That Jess: Yes, all the lenses are polycarbonate plastic these days. The eyeglass companies are worried, if they still made lenses from glass, children would break their glass, hurt themselves, and the families would file court cases en mass. High quality cameras have glass lenses, not polycarbonate.
I am worn mine for three years now and the only complaint is that where they touch my face like around the nose and part of my cheeks, the plastic has turned a bit orange brown. I also have clear glasses just like yours. They actually sent me a second pair because the first pair got sent to another state but then that lost a pair eventually got to me so now I have two pairs haha
A location near you??? They have stores? Had no idea LOL With their online presence why bother having stores? Although I must admit I wish their was one by me... Hmmm Maybe I should Google is and find out.
How are the quality of the lenses? So i always get Crizal lenses In my glasses, and let me tell you i can’t wear my other glasses because i can’t see out of them after buying crizal lenses and they are both the same script. Im afraid to get the glasses because more because of the quality of lenses
Prices between warby parker and anything in lens crafters are extremely different. Im +4.00 prescription in both eyes and that ended costing me 80 bucks at warby(having tecnology included except transitions). When i went to see how much the same would cost (only the lens) in lens crafters it was going to be 700. For real, in my 20 years experience in glases, that 620 dollar difference doesn’t do 💩. After getting my warby parkers, I really just think that the price may be just right. Prices like what i saw at lens crafters is the scam
It’s crazy because I just found out that I need glasses and I went to Warby Parker immediately. And right before that, I was checking my status for UT Austin! So finding your video is so coincidental!!! Is that where you’re planning on going?
That's crazy! I really am hoping to get accepted at UT soon!! Definitely my top choice for school next year, and I so relate bc I'm checking my status so often now :)
All That Jess UT is my top choice too! The anxiety is so real. I’ve been obsessively checking my status hoping there’s an update. What are you planning on majoring in?
Warby Parker has great prices, but let's be completely honest... quality has is not the greatest. I've owned many WP frames and they are only good for the cheap prices. But, if you want quality like Prodesign Denmark or Silhouette (Austria) you definitely to pay for it.
I want glasses like Fiona Frills type but I'm not sure if they will suit my face. I'm thinking of trying them on. I'm going to have to convince my parents to let me though ://
Trying them on helps a lot! I thought I wanted the Percey's going in but obviously, that changed after I tried them on and I'm so glad! Hopefully, your parents will let you and they may like them once they see them :)
I’ve always needed glasses and had quite a few pairs when I was little but for some reason I stopped getting a prescription and now my eyesight is worse than ever and finally have an appointment on September 26th to see how bad it really is. I’m scared it’s gonna be worse than I thought so I’ve been searching for cute glasses to make me feel better🤞
I can only speak for my Warby parker glasses. I have sat on them, rolled over on them, and stepped on them(barefoot) and they haven't broken yet. I've had them for almost 3 years.
Be kind to your glasses! lol
Mine lasted one year, just broke the arm today and I don’t know where i should order it online
I received my five free try-ons for five days. I found a pair I love love. Chatted with Warby online abt getting progressive lenses. Reasonable price. Love them. Ordering today!!
That's great to hear! They've always been super helpful when I've gone to the store.

Can't wait to try them out. I'm skeptical on the quality but its worth a shot. This pair will be for work anyway and shades as well.
