    A lot better primer indexing system than the 650 Dillion

    You're videos are really helpful. I just picked up my new Dillon 750 xl and I just can not seem to get the primer bar to pickup a primer. I've actually had a ton of problems as the dealer I purchased it from assemble a number of things wrong. As an example; the dealer that sold me the machine and pre assembled it installed the double "A" powder bar upside down and backwards. Prior to the powder falling all over the machine the bar did pick up primers, since then and after a ton of cleaning up I just can't seem to solve it. I've looked down the tube, check the total cup height etc. Any recommendations would be awesome. I can email you if that would be better. Thanks so much!!

    Thanks, new 750 today. Can you explain the brass case on your primer tube??? I know that you must have a reason, probably an improvement somehow? Awesome and helpful vids. Hope gregflake354 got up and running!!

      It’s a 45ACP case it adds a little bit of weight to the primer rod. Makes a difference

    What’s the best way to get any remaining primers out?

      I like the Mighty Armory decapping die

    This is the video I watched before converting from large primer to small. Still can’t figure why all primers do not sit flat to be installed.
    Another problem is the casings do not drop. They are not lined up with the little red receiver. I have reinstalled and cleaned everything. Any suggestions?

      Yes on the swivel there is an adjustment screw on the side. You can adjust the swivel in and out to get the cases to line up center.

    What is the total time needed to do a complete change over from one caliber to the next ? And are you really saving time over a manual press

    • @SquatchReloaded
      @SquatchReloaded  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      3 or 4 minutes at the most. A progressive press is exponentially much faster than a manual press

    • @anankekashada1991

      5 min tops

    Hey just bought the 750 new to loading and seam to have troubles with primers catching in the primer tube when I release them from the pick up any ideas?

    • @SquatchReloaded
      @SquatchReloaded  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Behind the spring plate on the primer tube body there is a very small hex screw. This screw adjust the insertion depth of the slide bar. You may need to turn this screw to get the slide adjusted so that the pick up is centered under the primer tube. If you are referring to the pickup tube as you are dropping the primers in confirm that the primer magazine is centered in the tube body before tightening down the knurled cap. I think I covered this is my changeover video.

      Squatch Reloading hey thank you for getting straight back to me but that is not where the issue is it’s in the actual tube it’s like the primers are sticking on the way down when I release them from the pick up tube?

    • @SquatchReloaded
      @SquatchReloaded  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok gotcha. I would remove the tube and spray it out with some brake clean first. There could be some residual processing lube in the tube. I have ran a patch down mine with a very small amount of dry neck lube (graphite).

    Great video but noticed that you didn't verify the alignment of the primer cup with the feeder tube once it is installed which to me is a pain seeing down the tube to check.

    • @GFO270
      @GFO270 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you know what any ways to adjust this? My primer cup keeps coming out empty OR the primer will have fallen onto the primer slide assemble and I think it’s because the slide assembly doesn’t get pushed in far enough.

      @@GFO270 There is a "Primer rear travel set screw" shown on page 21 of the manual

      Most of the time if primers start not feeding or dropping I've had to replace the plastic magazine tip on the end of the primer tube as the lips have been bent

    • @GFO270
      @GFO270 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dauton123 it’s a brand new machine so I’m guessing it’s an adjustment issue. I tried the brand new tube as well as a broken in one from my Dillon 550. Same issue with both tubes

    • @dauton123
      @dauton123 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GFO270 I've put a small piece of white material in the bottom of the primer cup and then shine a bright light into the primer feed area and look down the tube to see if it is aligned - page 44 of the manual. The black leaf springtension is also adjustable and I don't tighten it all the way down
