This one’s will be a classic video!! Two of the best, swinging for the fence home run! It obviously was very close!! The impressive part is very little tide and AJ was still whacking out trout for Trout with his artificial baits!! I don’t know the actual numbers of Captain Cisco or AJ, so I call it like a boxing match a “Split Decision” But I’d have to say catching trout like AJ did yesterday with hardly no tide was very impressive!! Both of y’all are the champions of fishing, NO DOUBT!!
All I can say is thanks for the props. Cisco had me fishing HARD to keep up with a very slow tide. Them croakers do the work for the guy using them and Cisco definitely knows how to use them. If the tide was running harder he would’ve been in trouble croakers or no croakers. Round 2 next week!!! If someone wants to catch fish definitely bring some croakers. That’s my first time being in the boat with someone using croakers all I can say is specks go nuts for them. I remember my stepdad in the late 80’s when we started fishing Delacroix he was always looking for croakers and couldn’t find them. He told me stories about the big trout him and his dad caught down in Cocodrie his dad had a camp for 15-20 years then a hurricane took it away.
So interesting to see the subtle changes in the speed, retrieve and cadences. That’s the difference, finding out how they want it, and nobody does it better than the “Produce Man”. Thanks !
I do have 6-8 different cadences. The problem yesterday the tide was just hardly moving (falling) and every trout wanted it different. I don’t knock anyone using bait them croakers took the work of figuring it out of the equation. If we would’ve had more tide his croakers would’ve been in trouble and Cisco knew it 😂. We had a very good day together I enjoyed the challenge. My wife asked how we did I told her I had to fish hard to keep up with them live croakers 😂 that Cisco knows how to fish live bait.
Man ! As usual you and da’ CISCO KID kicked ass again my friend , wat an awesome day on the water u two had ! Now let’s tell Cisco like it is , it takes more SKILL wit da plastics to stay fish for fish wit someone using live bait and not to mention u didn’t have to buy any live bait to stay right along with him ( u may have out fished him with the plastics , I’ll have to go back and keep count !) Great job u two , can’t wait till the day comes wen I’m knocking heads out there wit u guys lol! Tight lines boys! Thanks for another great video as usual!
My camera cut off so you can’t get a accurate number he probably got me by a few. The water wasn’t moving and the fish was hard to catch with plastics. Round 2 next trip if he can’t get croakers he’s in trouble 😳
Great video always enjoy you two, I know you can’t tell where the honey hole was but how about a cook and clean video sometime that would be cool to see how you do your catch. Anyway enjoy watching your fishing trips
That’s some solid fish. Nice not having to measure them. Looks like Cisco might’ve got you but it’s hard to catch doubles on one croaker. Great video and y’all beat the heat.
We talked on the ride home he got me by about 2-3 trout. It’s hard to compete against croakers the trout go nuts over them. I couldn’t show every fish. My GoPro died in the middle of 20-30 fish and I didn’t notice. I seen yesterday if someone wants to catch big trout find live croakers
@@Laproduceman Yeah it looked kinda tit for tat on the fish but Cisco was catching bigger fish. That’s one thing live croakers will do usually is produce bigger fish. Plus, once the water temperature starts getting to where it is now those fish become more finicky and harder to pattern as you was saying in the video. Varying retrieval speed and colors till you find what works the best. Down in Cocodrie I’ve been having to almost drag/crawl or slowly bounce my baits on the bottom with a good pause in between bounces for the better fish to bite. Them big girls move kinda slow when they start getting hot.
Just watched ya video, nice haul there , like me I won’t use any type of bait, more of a challenge when ya using plastic but the rewards of knowing ya out smarted a fish gives ya that feeling of accomplishment over using bait to catch a fish , going back this morning for some more red fishing sight seeing , thanks again for sharing your video
Yes Karl like Dave Cisco’s friend says anyone can catch them with bait. That’s what’s it about got ya on plastic I’ve out smarted the fish. Good luck this morning
We smacked the trout this weekend on croakers, caught a couple with plastic but I couldn’t get them dialed in like you. They wouldn’t even think of touching shrimp. The three I picked up on top water were worth the whole trip though. Would love to have that confidence with plastics so I can know that if there’s fish there, I’ll at least get a tap. Good video
It happens when the fish are biting just can’t get mad about it. We kinda know about where they are and try not to. The big trout try and break them also 😆
Make sure to tell Ole Cisco, emphasize the OLE part, dat anyone can and WILL catch a fish with a FISH🤪🤪🤪Great challenge and believe ya more than held ya own. Cisco did got to Mandeville Seafood yesterday and my older son sees him all the time. Might do nice solo trip on NShore seeking both few specks and reds kinda hard to beat burning maybe one gallon of boat gas and maybe gallon of tow vehicle gas🎩🎩🎩🎣🛶🐊
Damn,Not sure how I forgot to mention this BUT get ya hands on some dem fine azz Shakers in either Jungle Jazz or Vampire especially if dem specks gobbling up croakers. Got NO other soft plastic out there dat comes CLOSE to imitating croakers vs dem 3.75 or 4.5 in Shakers. Trust me on dat and you and Dave saw him good dem Shakers work🎩🎩👍
Y'all put a hurting on them! What was the water depth there? The cloud cover must have helped, but at some point the water was going to heat up, no? WHo won?
@@Laproduceman Great timing...(must have been good current?)I'd have thought the water temp would have heated up too much to hold fish...I guess it's like they say, you got to go to know.

John the trout were all about the same size. The lens on my GoPro is set to wide so the further it’s away it looks bigger. I didn’t think about your idea about 2 counters. I didn’t know until we were heading down he was stopping to get croakers. He’s scared to leave the dock without bait this time of year. I know I don’t need bait but Cisco has always been a bait fisherman. I got him away from it over the years especially when it doesn’t work out with his live shrimp and catfish 😬
@@Laproduceman love local companies! Going to order from them tomorrow. I order normally from overcastllures which is local for when I go to grand isle. Would love to pay to go fishing with you and Cisco one day! Been watching you for quite awhile now. Love the channel, god bless
