- Last week I tried to rent a car from Flexcar and it turned into a huge hassle. I’ve never had an experience like this with a real business where I paid them $900, they failed to deliver; and then made no honest effort at all to follow through, fix it, or make it right. Look elsewhere. Don’t use flex car.
Thanks. Was considering this company. But hearing your experience this is absolutely a no go for me. This would have driven me nuts. I appreciate you taking the time to put this together. Hopefully more people see it.

I had the car since October because I needed a car ASAP, because I'm a nursing student and I work part time. So I emailed them last week because I needed a receipt for January payment. They said my odometer wasn't working and I need to return or swap my car. So I was in class I told them I can't do it until the following Monday. Long story short I got an email saying I need to return my car immediately or they going to send a collector to get my car. Not swap the car but return my car within 24 hours or they going to have a collector come and get it. I called the 800 number and explain that I have no other transportation ,I explained I'm a nursing student and I work part-time, I need transportation and they just ignored me and said bring the car back in 24 hours or we're going take further actions. I never been treated so unfairly in my life. Never missed a payment since October. BEWARE Don't do it!! I finally got approved for a 2021😂
Sooo sorry this happened to you. I was considering getting a Flexcar but now, hell no.
It seems like Flexcar exists if you ABSOLUTELY need a vehicle RIGHT NOW, to get you to point A to B, within a short period of time, ONE time. And NEVER use them again. So it appears that they're "banking" on first time renters. So you better be in a position to need the car, and drive it as needed basis. To work, to school, buy groceries, nothing more, nothing less. And you better hope that those driving distances are well within renting from them
This video made me avoid them like the plague. Shame too because seems like a great thing and great idea. Guess places are willing to put short term gain over long term profit and growth. Businesses need to realize that customers can and will make reviews like this that make or break them.

I use Flexcar all the time. How did you $900 tied up with them.
They rented me a bad car and they did not do the walk around protocol, and I rented a broken bumper. Lied to, and it has been a nightmare.
Also they double charged me. Predatory.
So what happens if u go over your mile limit 😮
