At least you found a place that's decent, warm, comfortable after all these kilometers. Those are "old" mountains, tell by the way they're worn down. Same with the mountains in Scotland, UK. I still think Ottawa Ontario Canada is the best place to live. I traveled across Canada from Chicoutimi and Quebec City. Live in Quebec city 16 years. Calgary Alberta 2 years. 2 years in west Africa Senegal. Been to Tirol Austria Innsbruck, Stan's by Swarts. Rotholse, Climbed the Tirolian mountains. Belgium Brussels, Bruges , France Paris , London England, Italy, Milano, Venice. I love Canada Ontario the most.

I grew up in Gustavsberg outside of Stockholm. The toilets are still made there. I remember when I was a kid and went to Marmaris in Turkey, and we had a Gustavsberg toilet at the hotel, I was really fascinated!
Interesting Brandon, SDF sounds similar the good old USA rules and regulations. Immigration systems are pretty fucked up here USA as well as i guess in Europe, your amazing guy,. Very smart!!! BE SAFE and listen to your body.
Corruption really is a very difficult subject - in the UK I remember many tough rules which I think should have been bent just a little using good judgement. Back in the '90s I found a huge house on a hill and was going to set it up with a daycare nursery... a one-time opportunity at the price, as the owners needed to sell up quickly before they left the country. I got stuffed because a toilet door was an inch too narrow and couldn't be adjusted because it's a listed building. Not long after, I left too.
That stream and lake looked so inviting to soak feet in. I have a memory of hiking, ascending a large mountain and then descending and hiking back to my base camp. As I waited for my buddies to catch up the first thing ai did was soak my feet in a stream. It was perfect. When my friends finally got back to base camp we started a campfire and made bar-b'-q ribs and potatoes....my feet felt so dang good though.

Hey Brandon, I was just thinking that you should have spent a few dollars on some new hiking boots, every time you show your blisters makes my feet ache in sympathy - I do not know how anyone has the courage to go hiking all alone. At least there is a nice set of trails and also places to recharge your phone, get food, etc, when those things are necessary. Even having a hot shower must feel like the greatest luxury. I'm glad you're doing well, Brandon. Also, I'm going back to rewatch the previous Kungsleden videos because I think I missed one.... or maybe parts of one. I hear you rant about this problem in Sweden and realize all countries have problems. Here in the US if you are willing to pay, you can pretty much have anything you want when you want it despite different type of bureaucracy. Here money rules, sometimes to the point of unhealthy. There’s one thing that Sweden beats most of countries is truly universal healthcare. In that sense Sweden is on my top list of countries… despite dark winter days and that red people paint their houses in :)
Don't forget if you get sick , for a longer period, you get money as well. I was sick for a year. So glad to live in a country that wont let you become homeless over it.
An honest question, please, Brandon. Rules on top of rules make it sound as though getting through the system is very frustrating . What is it that makes Sweden the best country to live in? I’ve had that beaver fever water once & never again. Crazy ya can drink the water there without purifying ? Even way up high in Oregon I was always afraid of some dead thing in water upstream. Is it a magic altitude you trust ? I’ll never forget being that sick alone in the cascades. Hooowah life straw for life.

Maybe pure off snowmelt I’m ok with. It’s just wild to watch someone drink without a care in the world. Pretty cool. Even in high alt. Alaska I was like nope. 1 moose 1 reindeer a mile upstream. Spooks me out. Nearly didn’t make it out once and that was plenty. Never even knew I could throw up green. It looks awesome to not have that concern and just drink like a deer everywhere. Maybe pure off snowmelt I’m ok with. It’s just wild to watch someone drink without a care in the world. Pretty cool. Even in high alt. Alaska I was like nope. 1 moose 1 reindeer a mile upstream. Spooks me out. Nearly didn’t make it out once and that was plenty. Never even knew I could throw up green. It looks awesome to not have that concern and just drink like a deer everywhere.
