I nearly lost my head when you said Bristol City play offs with pure confidence, and then heart a heart attack when you almost moved us top TWO! Not that I’m upset with it but fuck😂😂
They don’t. Only poor judges (who use the previous seasons table as their sole guide for such things) see them as relegation fodder. Most shrewd nuts, like myself, think they’re an outside bet for top-6.
Even the most avid Coventry supporter prob wouldn't put them top 2 lol. They're definitely turning into perennial playoff contenders but their squad needs a few key additions to become title contenders.
As a Southampton fan I have followed the news about Portsmouth ever since I was a lad and if Saints stayed in the championship next season then that would have been much different than 12 or so years ago when we last met in the league. It honestly terrified me lmao Portsmouth will do very well in the league and will push for top 8 finish, they probably won’t get promotion but the season beyond that? Who knows. They could do a Southampton and get back to back promotions. That also terrifies me haha! If I were a neutral though, I’d be happy that the South Coast is still thriving in football at the moment. Just need to bring back some more Trophies to it.
@@LukePinguMore Just what my head is saing. I do not thing they will be anywhere near relegation. On the flip side I just feel they wont have enough to challenge for playoffs in their first season back in the 2nd div.
saying you wouldn’t of even been relegated without a points deduction however you would’ve gone down the season before without wednesdays point deduction also you’ve got an aging league one squad now with arguably the worst championship manager, sorry but derby won’t finish above wednesday this season
everyone saying Oxford are guaranteed to go down but I think if we have a decent window with the play off money. We can be beating teams like Plymouth, Wednesday, Millwall, Cardiff, Swansea and blackburn
Ah here Pingu when i heard Sunderland United...Im not taking your prediction seriously of my beloved Sheffield Wednesday you are in for some shock can't wait to come back to this😅. Have a good summer 👍🏻
I really hope you're right with us (QPR) But we're such a funny team we could be fighting relegation or pushing play offs. I think we're gonna be mid table. Got to keep Cifuentes though and get a couple of players in. Should be good enough to survive fingers crossed. Looking forward to going Pride Park again. Always a good away day!
Derby would’ve gone down the season before if Wednesday didn’t get the deduction, so it all evens out with Derby overall still being deserved of relegation at the time.
Very unlikely. I've had several bets with Wednesday fans that Sheff Utd will finish higher up the table and have the higher average attendance. Easy money really. Wednesday should finish mid table at best, at least Owls fans should be able to relax and be away from the relegation zone.
My lot Hull City will be up there, but so will about 20 other clubs..Dark horses Sheff Wed, maybe Portsmouth...struggling: a potential shocker in Leeds Utd. and maybe Sheff Utd.
Sheffield United needed a total rebuild from last season are currently mid table standard but that's not becuase we're average. Half the team is definite promotion level but the other half is weak. There's little strength in depth to cope with injuries but we do have probably 5 very promising highly rated youngsters from the Academy, but even talented youngsters tend to be inconsistent. I'm still expecting us to bring 4 or 5 decent players, so when the season starts I expect us to finish 6th to 8th. No Blades expect top 2 or even promotion but we do expect to build foundations to make a serious promotion push the following year. Also rumours says we're just about to be taken over by wealthy US owners, so we might have plenty of funds and ambition to strengthen further.
Would love to know how we're not getting play offs - corberan stays, new owner, pretty solid window hopefully, we're miles better than Sunderland, QPR, Norwich and M'Boro - and deffo better than Bristol as well - we'll be top 5 this season guaranteed, Luton and Sheffield will flop it
I support Watford & I'm young fan grew up watching Deeney glory days. But maybe it's our turn to play in League One. I like Cleverley but imo he got a weaker squad than Derby County which should ring alarm bells! All because we've flushed the PL money down the toilet. 🤧🐝 We are Huddersfield 2.0
Think you need to do your research on our club, we had Aaron Ramsey on a free and we haven’t spent no money as we’ve been on a transfer embargo bare in mind we just won our Sala case and will be getting a nice payday 🤣
Shocked with the swansea shout the worst we could do is 16th the players we are losing are not big and are not vital expected to have a overhaul would be disappointing to not get top 12 to be honest
Coventry above Luton ??? No way .... Luton kept most of there prem squad except of the loanees. Thet will be even stronger than the team they got promoted with
100 percent disagree about Luton.. They were a poor team when they went up, and I think they'll be mid table for sure. Leeds are definitely the strongest team in the league, though, and should have a lot of money to spend.. Boro have loads more depth to the squad now, and we have players that are starting to click, so personally, I can see Boro getting automatic promotion for sure.. I'd go - Boro and Leeds automatic.. play offs Burnley, West Brom, Coventry and Hull... Down - Oxford, Cardiff and Milwall.. Great vid though as per normal Pingu
Luton were the better team when they got relegated, so I wouldn't count them out of it. I do see Burnley missing the mark if they don't get their manager sorted.
FWIW, the majority of that prediction is fairly decent and would see sides finish within 2 places of those in the predicted spots you gave. The only teams that I feel you'll be wide of of mark on (ie by 3 places or more) will be the sides you've got in 6th, 10th, 17th 21st & 22nd.
This shouldn’t be lukepingumore, just lukepingufootball, you are so far ahead in terms of football knowledge than most of the halfbaked pundits I really hope this channel explodes
Derby still fuckinf delusional as per still crying cos we stopped them from getting play offs season before from Marvin Johnson’s dive 😛😂. (That was based off comments I’ve watched the video wtf is this)😭
To soon way to soon tell my prediction is. It is a tough season ahead and I am going to say it is going to go down to the wire also good luck to all the teams in the championship.
Boro have a great shout of playoffs if don't have 13+ first-teamers out for around half the season like 23/24. If a side can finish 8th with half a team then it does at least say something for strength in depth to an extent. When Boro got most of the seriously injured back for the last 12 or 13 games was when we became the top form side in the league, just unfortunate that the damage of our long-term treatment room was done by then. I'd challenge any team (even Leicester from last season) to have the majority of their first 11 out for 3-4 months and get promoted.
@@LukePinguMore He done a good job to get our squad to the Play-Offs I will give you that, it is a lot more average than most of our fans think however the terrible away performances, no development of youth and negative football cost him. Board promise good attacking football with a clear style and bringing through the youth and we haven't seen that since Farke left. Excited for Thorup and to see where we come, personally anywhere from 3rd-12th depending on squad re-build.

Danny Rohl kept us up after the worst championship start and basically giving teams a 10 game head start. I think we can push top half.
Derby above wednesday 😂😂 you’re a funny one pingu
How you got wednesday down there with Danny Rohl as manager?😂
Yeah I think Wednesday will be comfortable next season - really tough to beat, we did well to get a point at Hillsborough.
@@gavinharper5110 Rohl got a season with his own team coming up too and apparently given a decent budget too
Danny Rohl too good a manager for wednesday to go down

Most confident I've ever been going into a new season since relegation. As a boro fan, Latte Lath is the best player we've had in ages.
Predicting before the window opens is kinda pointless but at this stage I’d say Burnley, Leeds, Coventry go up & Oxford, Plymouth & derby/blackburn
