I got this album new in 1976 and wore it out. I was 15 then and those were simpler carefree times. The world seemed a better place back then. Dances at the church hall, drinking back at the lake, house parties..etc..Then again, I could just be old and sentimental now!
50 years from now todays youngsters will say that about the 2020s ! 🌈

First album I ever bought. I think it is one of the coolest and most colourful albums of the '70s. Pete, Dan, Manny, and Darryl, were awesome, & showed the world that Scots can rock!

I was at a bar in Van. BC in the 80's one night and they were in the crowd and did a surprise guest performance - totally unplanned - just got up and started playing! It totally rocked! I love these guys they are real, and the music touches my memory bank in a big way!

Seen them a few years back in saskatchewan,canada they are old dudes and still rock hard they played a 1.5 hour set no breaks and had the crowd rockin. They sound unreal live even better then recorded definetly one of my fav classic bands.

Nazareth, Close enough for Rock n Roll was the first album I ever owned, what I liked about them was that they changed it up with every album.
Yes they kept it fresh and new. They even changed how their name looked, each album using new fonts.
I remember sitting at my towns water tower overlooking the harbour in my mates pimped HG getting stoned and singing to this album for hours. So many memories come flooding back when I hear this song. Great stuff!!!!

One of my early classic Rock favorites. Growing-up as a teenager in the late 70s & through the 80s was the most exciting time of my life. I remember playing this album all day with my other favs like MAchine Head by Deep Purple & The Eagles Live double-album. Nazareth is one of the most underrated bands indeed.
