I got lucky here in Louisiana that the hail wasn`t worse and only lost some lettuce, berries and some fruit tree leaves were damaged. Power was out all night and I ran everything from my solar batteries and didn`t need gas. I heard a roar again but this time it was wind instead of a tornado again. I live in a camper so it`s scary to feel it rocking at night.
We are in Woodville. Our little town got torn apart! Thankfully we were only without power from Friday morning about 7:30 until last night about 10. Also thankful I made the purchase of a new tractor and grapple to have the ability to assist friends and neighbors.
Hi Andrew, these storms seem to be all over the place. Glad you and Tiffany are ok but feel bad for those who have been hit by these storms. For sure changing times!! 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
Glad you are the type to be prepared. Definitely makes life easier in the aftermath of a situation like this. I know you don’t like all of the chainsaw/firewood work in the heat but we surely enjoy watching it! Thanks for all you do Andrew!
The Texas Multi-purpose BBQ Grill was tested for storm proof 😀👍. Looks like abundant firewood to cut. I'm surprised that none of the building was damage. Glad to know that the family are OK.
Thankful that you are all safe, your preparation for things like this sure are worth the hard work and effort. Praying for your friend’s family and neighbors. 🙏
So glad to hear you all are ok. Man, it sure seems like yall can’t win for losing lately! Lots of work to do but that means lots of videos for us to enjoy! Thanks to all your super informative solar videos, I’m putting my Ecoflow package together as I type this!
My boy is a line man... he got sent up there on Monday. He is pulling 16 hour days right now, not sure when he is going to be back! Glad you guys are safe.
Last year all my sweet corn was flattened so I didn`t plant any this year. I saw my bunny friend after the corn was knocked over and got a stalk and tried to offer it to her. Her eyes got big when she saw me coming with it in my hand and she started to panic. Ha! So I looked away, reached out as far as I could and dropped it and backed away. She chewed on it for three days. I had to dust my peas and ground cherries with red pepper to keep her away from them this year. I planted some red rippers along the blackberry patch for her. If she`ll let them grow long enough to start making vines there will be plenty but Bunny isn`t a very good garden manager from what I`ve seen.
I was going to ask, but you briefly covered that your generator can charge your battery back up system. Is there anything special you have to do with your panel to make that happen? Or is the battery back up system that smart to where it will automatically take in a charge while other house systems are going?
As long as you are charging from a different source other than the panel, you can charge and run at the same time. So a generator and or solar can charge the system while it outputs to the panel.
Thankfully you all are okay. Seems like everyone is being hit with massive storms this year. We live near the omaha area and have had friends lives totally turned upside down and lost everything.
Watching you, Dan Arms and Dutch make my issue with not being able to see the northern lights despite living in NE for all of my life because of clouds seem minor. Glad to see everyone is ok!!
@@TKCLyou need to look tonight starting around 9 pm. Use your phone with the exposure set to the maximum shutter length an take some photos. The camera will detect what the human eye can’t. Tonight may not be as intense as last night but it has the potential as another solar flare is heading towards earth.
@@THEL0G1CAL1 I live about 120 miles to west of Andrew as the crow flies and we had a spectacular view of the Aurora. Both of our local TV stations FB pages were full of photos from people around here. Very interesting and marvelously beautiful.
Did you take your solar panels into the garage or did you strap them down vertically or was there not enough time? When the sun peeks out you can use the chop shop to charge some batteries. Did you get the gas tank installed by the chop shop? That would be really helpful if you did. Glad you guys are ok.
I didn't have enough time to prepare the panels. We did get our large fuel tank and just topped off our propane tank in preparation for this coming hurricane season.
Hey Andrew, glad you guys are good and nothing major. Question though, my wife and I are living in our camper as we prepare to build our new house farther south from you in Florida. You referenced when you were as well and you had it tied down, any pictures or videos of the tie downs, were all sand, no clay. Obviously were not weathering a hurricane in it, just like you said, would like it to be solid in a wind storm. Thanks
Hi Andrew, these storms seem to be all over the place. Glad you and Tiffany are ok but feel bad for those who have been hit by these storms. For sure changing times!! Thank goodness to have the solar for back up!! 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
Glad you're OK! I'm glad you took the dogs into the shelter with you. Your garden looks great.
We take care of them as well!
Thank you so much for finding time to update us and answer messages in tough times for you. I hope your families are good as well. God bless!
Thank you, we checked on a lot of people yesterday. All are well, only minor damages.
You are so prepared! I'm proud of you two and admire you. Shelter, back up power.! And I know you have supplies to stay put for a bit, if needed.
Yes! Thank you! We love being prepared.
Wow that's crazy. Im glad your okay.
Thank you so much for the update. Happy to hear you are safe!
Thank you!
Tiffany looks thrilled in that picture 🤣 glad yall are safe!!

I remember all those times being in a camper when bad weather came, it's a bad feeling when it's shaking and moving around.
Glad you guys are ok..., We got rocked here in Charlotte, NC also 😮
Hope you made it through ok
Good to see you all were spared the brunt of the storm.
We were very lucky, a few miles west of us is pretty bad.
@@TKCL prayers for all. 🙏
Tornadoes jump us in northern Kentucky and hit southern Indiana and Ohio. Thabk god you are all safe. I'll be building my shelter very soon

Stay safe, we are getting it again today and tomorrow. That tractor and grapple combo is a lifesaver.

Glad your both safe, things can be cleaned up. Stay safe.
Thank you for the update. Glad the two of you are ok and you only received minimal damage from the storm.

Thanks for the update and glad you all are ok. Mother Nature is on a roll this year - it's crazy! Stay safe....cyber hugs from Idaho🤗
She's not happy!

That grill isn't going anywhere lol.
I am glad to know you guys are okay.
Crazy weather, glad you guys came through it safely and prayers for those suffering damage and losses.

Tell him thank you so much! Those people are often forgotten heros, we don't think about what they do until all heck breaks loose.
I'm so glad y'all are right. God bless y'all.

@@TKCL You're welcome!
Made my sinuses hurt when you drove through the water with the pollen. Sneezed a couple times.
Glad y'all are safe
Land of pollen!
Well, I'm glad yall are safe
Andrew, glad y’all are all ok and missed a direct hit. Those straight line winds are dangerous too.
They sure are
Glad you are OK
Thank you
Glad y’all safe. It’s terrible in many areas. We did well south of Tallahassee.
Tallahassee is for sure a mess, glad yall missed it.
If I remember correctly you and Bullet were in that trailer when it flipped on it's side. Hope your parents and your siblings are safe and doing well.
It did not flip, but tried to. Luckily it was cabled down. Me and the pup had a wild ride.
Scary stuff....but looking forward to the great content coming
Thank you for watching
Looks like you need to invest in a Saw Mill. You can salvage trees and make some of your own lumber. Besides firewood.
It's on my list
When that solar power, Hobbie starts to pay off. ;)

So happy you're ok. With all of that water on your property I have to wonder if you are going to be able to get to the downed trees before they rot.
I don't believe I will be able to.
Your trails are never going to dry up for you to get all your downed trees out! Glad you and the family are safe, though!

NWS is saying EF2 115mph winds, we had 3 tornadoes. 2 were EF2. Tallahassee and surrounding areas are a Mess!!!!
Yep, I've been seeing the reports.
Watching you, Dan Arms and Dutch make my issue with not being able to see the northern lights despite living in NE for all of my life because of clouds seem minor.

I got a notification last night that those lights could be seen as far south as Florida. I didn't see anything when I looked 😒

Hi, Andrew! Thanks for the update. Daniel and DeJay’s hometown was a mess, wasn’t it!
Yes it was! I feel so bad for all these people who've lost everything.
So happy y'all are safe. How did your Dad fair?
Well, some tree damage and power outages.
Dang! That was a near-miss! Glad y'all are ok!!!
What type vehicle was that black one at the beginning?
That's our Mahindra roxor. It's like a diesel jeep.
Well now you have fresh cut trees for the lumber yard to make cool stuff 😂🤣

Go look at the meter every few hours.

Are you going to be able to have the livestream on Sunday evening?
Not sure, we keep losing internet. A lot of the cell towers were damaged.
Watch out for those widow-maker, broke-off trees as they could fall when you’re clearing debris.
Agreed, they make me nervous.
I spy a painted fence in the background
Yep, not making much progress thanks to the weather.
Are there any gators on your property
I haven't seen any in a long time. There are probably some smaller ones now that we've had water for so long.
How is your dad?
Doing well, they didn't have much damage. They lost power for most of the day.
