For the interchangeable television screens, I used a photo from my video introduction, a second photo from Back to the Future, and a third from another 80s movie. Did you recognize the other movie? It’s one I’ve watched countless times.
Zubbie i have been really thinking obout what you said about radioactive llamas and ive been actually huming "llama man llama man does what ever a llama can" thanks alot
I've been trying to make a TV with interchangeable screens for my Barbie and I couldn't find a video that didn't use a phone for the screen. I'm so happy I found this video it will really help me with my project. Thank you so much for making this video.😊
Honestly though, you should have shared the pics of other people's creations on the TV. This is pretty cool Zubster! Love the multiple layers and the magnets! But... you're NOT supposed to paint unicorns on your TV remote...? My whole life as been a lie. Great vid!
i made an old school box tv for my deadpool apartment diorama that i have been working on. i used some scrap purple foam board that i had left over. i like your design for the flat screen tv, i might make one of those too. thanks for these tutorial vids, you do a great job and are very clear on your instructions and i appreciate that. keep up the good work
That's a great idea to use left over foam for a larger tv. Do you have any pictures of your tv creation anywhere? Also, thanks for letting me know my instructions are clear. Sometimes I worry if I bore people by going into too much detail, but then if I edit more out, the instructions may not be as clear. It's a balancing act, so I really appreciate the feedback.
Zubbie You're definitely not boring me. It's a tutorial so the details are important. If there is one thing I can't stand it's watching a tutorial where they leave you in the dark to have to figure out the specifics so Thank You for taking the time to add in the details. As of right now I don't have any pics of the tv I made but when I get my apartment diorama finished I will figure out some way to send you some pics if you want. This is the first time I've ever tried to make anything like this so it is taking me a while plus it's hard to find the time to work on it.
Nice. It's hard to tell but the finish is a bit rough, I'm assuming because of the materials used... I wonder if foam sheets would have presented a smoother finish... I may try rocking one of these out! Thank you for sharing!
Holy crap…. I made it about halfway through the video before I realized I can do this project with the stuff I have around the house. I have no experience with any sort of crafting or diorama making but the idea is so simple and you present it in such a way that I had pretty much this exact thing sitting on a table in front of me within a few hours. Complete with a much uglier remote!
I know this video is really old, and it is perfect, except, ummm, what to do with 2nd frame we cut out? Do we glue both frames together and then paint black? Or were we only supposed to cut one? Your layout says to cut 2.
Ohhh, this is awesome! *And* this is something that I really would love to make for my figures! \o/ I've come close to buying dollhouse miniature TVs before but the lack of ability to change the image on the screen has held me back, so this is perfect! Thanks so much for doing this one and can't wait to see what's coming up next! :D
zubbie now that the new cyclops is coming out will you make the blast effect for him like u asked if you would. I bet a whole lot of people would want see it
You should do a tutorial on how to make windows for buildings. I do stop motion animation with my figures and I'd like to do a couple fight scenes involving windows. Any tips?
I used either one of the blades of the scissors or an xacto knife to punch through the middle of the paperboard to make a big enough hole to fit the scissors through to cut out the interior of the frame.

lmao! You're welcome. I was singing that the other day too. "He's fuzzy, he spits. If you're mean you'll get bit. Llama-man, Llama-man"
Zubbie i got spit on by a llama before actually at a peting zoo a few years back that scared be for life😨😰😢😖

If you make one with foam sheets, I'd love to see how it turns out. Knowing your work though, it's going to be amazing! :-)

zubbie now that the new cyclops is coming out will you make the blast effect for him like u asked if you would. I bet a whole lot of people would want see it

That screen gimmick wound be really fun of a Teletraan 1 for some Autobots.
That is so cool I'm going to put on my to do list
I'd love to see some pictures of your creation when you're done :-)
I'll definitely make one of these, but I'm curious how an old school tube TV would look.
Haha! That could be pretty cool. I'm picturing one with the wood panels and rabbit ears antenna.
James Bowen i made one out of some scrap purple foam board left over from a diorama and carved in some details with an xacto knife.
You should do a tutorial on how to make windows for buildings. I do stop motion animation with my figures and I'd like to do a couple fight scenes involving windows. Any tips?
Are you thinking of breakable windows so that a character could crash through them? Or windows that slide open so someone could crawl through it?
Zubbie breakable if you have any jdeas

are affiliated with a.c.b.a.? because I love your craft.
Nope, I'm not affiliated with them, but I enjoy looking at the awesome photos those a.c.b.a folks take.
How did you cut the cereal box frame? Tnx
I used either one of the blades of the scissors or an xacto knife to punch through the middle of the paperboard to make a big enough hole to fit the scissors through to cut out the interior of the frame.
What is that table it stands on?
I picked up the table from the toy section of Dollar Tree and painted it.
I want to make a bed for my Deadpool
I might be able to help. I have a video guide on How to Make a Bed here: th-cam.com/video/fUh2r-PgdW4/w-d-xo.html
