In this Slay the Spire gameplay, Baalorlord does an Ascension 20 run with Defect. First, he gives tips on choosing a path and a starting bonus. Later on, he explains his decision for each card he chooses and why it's important to the build. Towards the end, he gears up for an epic Heart fight you don't want to miss. I just beat A19 with defect with the most basic deck. 3 orb slots a couple ball lightning a couple first orbs cards and core surge plus biased cog. Was surprised how well it did. Usually I pick up creative ai or echo form etc

With the Defect I alwas try to get 2 upgrades asap: Zap and Dual cast being free.

Electrodynamics has to be the single best card in defect's pool as it is the one that turns defect's most difficult fights (gremlin leader and reptomancer) into trivial ones.
