The whole song is loosely based on the story, journey, and enlightenment of the first Buddha, Siddhartha Guatama. Those who say the lyrics are meaningless are essentially wrong - Jon has actually explained quite a lot. Every line has a meaning, but they are cloaked in poetry and symbolism. The “inside her white lace” was a separate piece they wove in, but for me it fits well. That whole section is emotional; another part of the song that makes me weep with joy ❤ There is much to this song. I have been studying it for decades.
A masterpiece as always. This is the legendary footage shot in an outdoor football (soccer) stadium here in Britain. The whole concert is a joy, but the sound is pretty dodgy at times 😊 Always watch Chris Squire on bass. It’s amazing. The “morse code” is the keyboard. This keyboard player, Patrick Moraz, was sadly only in Yes for the album Relayer.
You seem to really resonate with Yes and Genesis. I applaud you for that young man. What a great reaction to a musical and spiritual journey. Not to mention it is a masterpiece.
As always, Renee, I totally agree ❤ The divine spark is in this. Profound. I am drawn to the message in my soul and heart. There is so much in there that moves me ❤❤
Great song! But there are better live versions out there. Patrick Moraz is good, but Rick Wakeman is just a little bit better. Try "Symphonic Live 2001"...a sonic delight!
Thanks for watching! Tell me what the next reaction should be
Steve Morse's band The Dixie Dregs album What If song "Night Meets Light:
I think it’s a good idea to allways check the studio version first.
Really cool version

Awesome! 🥰
Just like ELP these guys are all classically trained musicians just freaking amazing 😻🤩
Correction Jon Anderson, Steve Howe, and Chris Squire are self-taught. Squire did get kicked out of choir school, where he learned some
No, only Rick Wakeman and Pat Moraz. The latter playing here
@mattleppard1964 oh you're right my bad ty for the correction
❤
Leave it to Jon Anderson to take something simple and turn it into something poetic and complicated.

The Gates of Delirium" studio version only. To me its almost as good as CTTE.
And me. Almost on par 😊
The YesShows version is even better than the studio
Best...band...ever. Thanks for the reaction!!!
