Absolutely heartbreaking. Thoughts and prayers to all the victims and those affected by the storms. Thankfully Ryan Hall Yall kept me updated and I was able to warn family who was only 3 miles from where the Hendersonville tornado touched down.

This was a dark day yesterday. I was doing everything in my power to warn others all the way from Texas. My condolences are going out to all affected. The Hendersonville tornado was by far the most powerful of the night. Clarksville Tornado claimed 3 lives, & the Hendersonville tornado took 3 as well. Hendersonville was a worst case scenario kind of tornado being it was long lived, at night, big, & right in a major city.

Excellent reporting because the reporter did not bother, the devasted residents with inane questions. I'm also donating whatever I can to assist TN and KY.
I wish sometimes reporters would jump in and help rather then talking about the devastated people walking around with tears over there loss.

There are some good solutions to stay safe.
1. Go underground
2. Build wind proof homes
3. Leave before a tornado gets created then hits people
Wind is above ground, so there is no wind below ground. if people properly build underground shelters then they should be safe. Building wind proof homes would require someone to learn how to build it! Leaving should be a simple solution to understand.
They're too busy praying to an imaginary cloud fairy. Actually changing the building codes to allow experimental (dome shaped or round repels wind better) or underground sheltered homes makes sense; these people are too busy going to their church social clubs to smarten up.

Just went through this and 1999 doesn't make sense. That was almost 25 years ago.
Tonight we’re going to party like it’s 1999
We use concrete blocks to build our houses in the Caribbean which is considered the third world; only the wooden shacks get blown away. Some people lose roofs and those houses that don't have shutters get their windows blown in but the house itself remains standing. I don't understand why people in the richest country in the world don't build their houses with concrete blocks especially in tornado prone areas.
When I build my house I will take your advice.
@@Clare-tea I remember one year in tornado alley this women's house got destroyed three years in a row and she gave up! Florida gets hit by hurricanes almost every year but they still don't build their houses with concrete blocks! Why!?

I know of 2 families from California who moved to TN because their homes burned down here. They realize now they aren't safe any where.
I did a LOT of research before I moved from Cali to Tennessee. The Cumberland Plateau is almost bullet-proof weather and natural-disaster wise. The flat parts of Tennessee to just east of Nashville are at risk from severe weather, but the 2000 foot elevation of the Plateau makes it much safer. Tornadoes like flat ground, not rolling hills at altitude and you won't see much flooding here, either. And it's too green to have issues with wildfires. There are places that are safer, do your homework.
The odds of a tornado hitting your house are far less than a wildfire destroying your house in a California wildfire prone area.
Hearts go to Tennessee in recovering from the devastating tornadoes has been a while since damage like this is seen from them.

Really? Natural disasters will increase as more people build where severe weather occurs. Severe weather, floods, and forrest fires occurred before people inhabited this country. They will occur when this is no longer a country. Most people have a greater risk of being maimed or killed on the road from other drivers than they do from weather.

AGAIN??? The historic kentucky tornado outbreak was December 11th 2021 under Archangel Kani'EL aka Chamuel aka Mictlantecutli. Now the same thing AGAIN in nearby Tennessee only one day earlier than the anniversary of the event? This is crazy. December 11th 2021 & December 10th 2023.

I live in tornado alley (Texas) and I grew up to allways keep your head on a swivle for tornados and bad thunderstorms..they can happen 24/7 365 days of the year...

Got to start building structures that can withstand these natural disasters.
The building codes need to be changed to account for both weather variances as well as extreme weather events. Anyone living near the coastlines should seriously consider moving while they can still find buyers, especially if they're younger. Governments are too slow to react and builders need to step up and demand safer codes. For the money people pay now for housing, there is no excuse (although NOTHING can stand up to 200 mph winds) except underground builds.
