    Another main reason the Rale did so well climbing in the powder and rode closer to a 129 2.5” Is because of the Camso track. It is miles ahead of the Timbersled 2.5” track. They are closer to a 3” for traction. They are awesome. Anyone who rides a Timbersled Aro120 or 129 2.5” should make the switch if they like to climb in the steep n deep.

      I'd have to disagree saying it's miles ahead of the Timbersled 2.5. IMO it is slightly better but a 129 stock 2.5 TS outclimbs the Rale 120. That being said the Camso staggered pattern (they're all Camso tracks BTW) track seems to hook up better in the deeper stuff and just as you are saying, swapping to staggered pattern track will result in better climbing ability. Now we're about to test the Rale 129 and that will be a whole new animal!

    Did you do an end-of-the-year video for the rail kit comparison with the other kits? I didn’t see that you had put one up?

    Proper motocross technique is ebows up and balls of your feet ! On my cmx the right side has a belt cover so im almost on my heel..or i have be out so far on the peg its not comfortable... can u ride the rale kit this way ? On your tippy toes

    • @SnowBikeNation
      @SnowBikeNation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah you can ride it like a dirtbike. I find I'm typically riding with my feet in the middle so I can react to the bike and terrain the best. Having wide footpegs like the C3 are critical for the best feeling snowbiking and no icing up like a stock footpeg.

    Would the dirtbike style rail fit on a 2022 450RX? I can look but just curious if anyone has done this. Cheers

      You can contact a dealer for them but they have fit kits for most bikes.

    How would you compare the rale to the riot 3S ?

    • @SnowBikeNation
      @SnowBikeNation  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a very different ride. The Rale is very playful, easy to Wheelie, feels more like riding a Dirtbike with the suspension setup but the 120 obviously can't compete with the 3 inch Riot... We'll be testing the 129 Rale this season so we'll see how that goes. It's a fun kit, just different. So it depends on your riding style and where you ride.

      I’m new to the snow bike and I’m not very tall so I’m looking into trying find something that will work for me I have rid the riot 3s and I liked it still trying to get a feel for riding it. Just been looking at different tracks to see how they ride vs riot 3s

      How is the yeti ride vs the riot

    • @SnowBikeNation
      @SnowBikeNation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@yettafolsom8512 Def a different feel than the Yeti. The Rale just legit feels like a dirtbike on snow. Has that same feel. The Yeti is awesome and has the lightness and nimbleness of carbon fiber. Hard to describe the differences other than the Rale definitely rides and holds a wheelie better. The Yeti so far I think climbs a bit better overall.

    Impressive you didn't break the LC can spout yet.
    Considering that Rale weighs more than everything else, costs the same as competitors, and not having skid shocks, it doesn't add up to a kit I would even consider for deep mtn riding.

    • @SnowBikeNation
      @SnowBikeNation  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah they didn't have the piece in stock so we could flip the spout around so we had to make do. So the kit doesn't need skid shocks. It works completely different from a traditional Snowmobile style skid. All the suspension is in the motorcycle monoshock. It's a completely different feel and ride. More to come as we really put it through it's paces. I was shocked how well I could climb and traverse in the super deep snow that day on a 120 track! It feels so much more dirtbike like than any other kit, it's an experience that must be felt to really see the difference. But that dirtbike like feel is not going to be everyone's ideal feel. This was the first ride so we'll be getting it dialed and post our thoughts.

      @@SnowBikeNation I've had a riot s and now a yeti. I really liked the riot the yeti is fast and handles great but it super tall. How tall is the rale kit compared to the yeti?

    • @SnowBikeNation
      @SnowBikeNation  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tonyhanson9235 interesting. I've found the Yeti kit to be shorter if setup that way. Try moving the front suspension arms from the middle hole to the top holes on each side. That lowers it and gives a flatter angle of attack. The Rale kit is fairly tall in stock setup. I haven't messed around with it much.

    I hate how snowbikes handel on hard pack.. have you tried a cmx?

    • @SnowBikeNation
      @SnowBikeNation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have ridden a CMX and every brand and ski at this point. In fact this season we are testing every brand of Snowbike Kit in North America. It isn't as bad on the hardpack once you know how to handle them. The main thing is making sure your ski pressure is set up correctly. Not to much or to little, don't fight the ski, stay loose on the grips, steer with your core and butt. Once you get the hang of it you can rip on the hardpack and get to where you need to go quickly. The reality though it snowbiking on hardpack isn't really fun anyways. It's all about getting back off the trail as quickly as possible. I ride the edges of the trail all the time where the sledders don't touch and I can go way faster with less energy. I rarely ride down the trail. I'm constantly on the edge. Plus it keeps you thinking and you get better holding your line.

    what about weight?? is the Rale lighter than the timbersled?

    • @SnowBikeNation
      @SnowBikeNation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's heavier than Timbersled but not by a lot. Compared to a stock Timbersled 129 Aro Only 3 pounds on the rear, and 6 pounds on the front. But you can run stock forks on this as well. So take that into account if you run a trio.

    If I'm wanting the utmost gnarly insane playful snowbike, gives no shits about climbing the steep stuff that's what sleds are for is the rale my best option? Ski lift, bowties basically all the stuff about 5% of snowbikes can do. And 30% of us sledders. Really thinking the rale is it, I've got a 16 yeti 129, behind my te 300 23 tpi just to much track for the bike.
