Great video. Only thing I would add on the meal bag is just a tiny (and I mean tiny) dot of gorilla glue or shoe goo to the velcro because depending on the brand you buy its adhesive can be affected by humidity and heat. Just a little add-on tip. Well done!

Extremely creative and simple!! Thanks for the video. The dark color of the Gorilla Tape gives the creation a nice accent. One thing I thought of using is a thinner but extremely sticky aluminum tape which is a little pricey but might be better. Thanks again for sharing your ideas with others!

i havent thought of using the car window things! i've seen people "upgrading" their coolers with reflectix always saying its easy to find, but i've never seen it anywhere so i wonder if this stuff works as well.

The foil bubble wrap you used isn't the best insulation since it's only a barrier to radiated heat and has a minimal r rating which is a measure of conducted heat, bubble wrap was only ever used on this product because it was cheap and easy to cut and shape, not for it's insulation properties. Using a foam or a synthetic fibre plus a foil layer would make this perform better.
Depends on how long it takes your food to rehydrate. I usually give it a minute or two past the time indicated on the directions. Buy a few extra meals to try them at home before taking them on the trail. Cook them at home, WITH the gear (stove, pot, etc) you’re taking, preferably outside in similar weather to what you’re expecting.
I use Mylar bags when I package my homemade meals. The final meal size varies a little depending on where I seal the bag, but the one I used in this video was 8 inches wide and 9.5 inches long.

I use a similar cozy but not for the food, yet for the gas cannister of the camping stove. It helps keeping the gas warm during the winter time hikes.
For your cup I would have created another little flap and used the Velcro again to slide under the cup handle. They are great ideas! Thanks
