geordie greep is just one of those artists you can see having a long prestigious career with tons of different acclaimed bands/projects and many, many great and influential albums. i definitely think he will be remembered for a long time as one of the most important figures of 21st century rock

Just FYI, not to disprove anyone's theories regarding this album, but Geordie Greep has said that while it is a thematic concept album, there is no literal connection between the narratives of each song.

alongside the imaginal disk recommendation, would highly recommend anything of swans’ 2010s output for more of that noisy and chaotic kind of sound you heard toward the end of motorbike

The guitar line at the end of the New Sound is reminiscent of King Crimson's Frame by Frame. And the very beginning of Walk Up reminds me of a Cake song

@ It’s not as loungey (besides maybe the new album) but I would strongly recommend Destroyer’s album Have We Met. The way that the lyrics are structured and phrased is very similarly wild to TBHC and The New Sound.

I think the word you are looking for is ‘Obsurd’. It really is lyrically and musically…what I adore is the time signatures and the key changes. We are being treated to appetisers, bursting with craziness, light and kookiness. It’s a masterpiece. In 200 years time, it will be acknowledged and truly Greep and his accompaniment will be recognised as something the world had but failed to embrace. Best we roll up and be in the zone, in this time..not then, but now….listen up and give this to your children as the best gift they may never believe they had but they did have and they never knew….but they will, we’ll not them but their inner them and IT WAS HERE THEY REALISED….just insane, but perfectly normal..wow
