गुरू प्रवर प्रणाम🙏 Actually there is not even an iota of falsehood in any Purana, whatever is written there is in highly symbolic and cryptic language. Earlier it was only for the teacher who have acquired knowledge inline of the Guru-Shiahya tradition were authorized to read and interpret the authentic meaning and intent of the shlokas, all written in the Sanskrit. Its our big ill luck that we lost that traditional knowledge first due to advant of Budh- Jain sects and then 1000 years of slavery. Our scriptures and holy knowledge became totally polluted and tempered by the lesser educated and untrained naiveties. The Dev Shayan was an allogory to tell the agricultural and forest based society of that time that since rainy season is around ( as the sun enter the Gemini sign, its change of season in June - July) there will be lot more , flies,insects and other reptiles specially the Serpants in the fields and jungles. Under such circumstances it won't be possible to do any yagaya as the flies, insects,reptiles are abound and getting necessary herbs from forest will be difficult, so they instead of saying that any relgious activities is to be avoided they took the help of simple tool that since Devas( Bhagwan Vishnu and 11 others, as per Vaman Puran) are sleeping their prayers shall not reach and be accepted by them . Incidently during these four months Bhagwan Vishnu use Shesnag as his bed, it signifies that its breeding season of serpants and by no means the serpent and their young made to suffer due to human activity. Saints and Rishies were ordained to remain within the precincts of their Ashrams during these months. 🙏🙏
Yes...infact guruji has in many of his videos said that purana have symbolic meaning and that's why there's need to get to the real intended meaning of every shloka, western and Indian communist writers have took that symbolism literally and made fun of such things like vishnu is in sleep for months and awaken for the rest of the year even at night and bla bla, infact senseless... But only highly well read intellectual can understand the symbolism or metaphor and I think that was the main aim of writers of puranas who had complex minds to create such metaphors and symbolism so that only sincere scholars can pursue purana study and not amateurs...complex work for complex personalities and not for sadakchaaps... In one of guruji's videos he talks of 'Sootak' during childbirth...and explains the medical reason of why child's parents had to be sort of isolated from rest of family members and mother had to consume haldi-jeera (nowadays medicines) powder for 10 days after birth so that any bodily waste inside her body after childbirth gets removed and doesn't cause any life threatening issue to her and on the 10th day yagya would be performed by that mother and sootak ends.....guruji says this way Sootak infact prevented mother's life and in turn baby's life too as baby is nothing without mother...also he says some women could get cleaned up from inside before 10days but our purana agreed to a general 10 day isolation so that almost every women gets covered in this time period. And to my surprise in the comment section I could see one watcher who perfectly agreed with guruji on this scientific principle behind Sootak but in turn chose to bash Pandits and said that they would illicit money in the name of something dangerous happening during Sootak, and to which I had to say that maybe symbolically pandits used to instill fear in couples for their own safety and their newborn's, we all know insaan ko sbse zyada darr bhagwan ka hi hota h, otherwise if pandit had resorted to emphasising cleanliness of women's interior then hardly anyone would've listened and remember we are talking of ancient rural India, we very know how today's urban India hardly pays heed to even Modi's advice of wearing masks for own health....so how can one expect that in those days or even in today's rural India where mothers usually don't have good nursing reach would listen to any haldi-jeera advice from a pandit....so better instill a fear of bhagwan during Sootak and on the 10th day perform havan pujan- that way ur family remains safe, bhagwan bhi khush hawan pujan se which is actually not needed if we go by guruji's views behind Sootak but then what's harm in thanking that bhagwan who gifted u such a precious little living being, and in the last by that yagya pandit also earns for his family's living..... Pandits don't illicit money infact it's their yajaman who willfully offer dakshina as per their capacity and liking, pandits don't demand a single penny.... So I had to bash that man in comments, because it's been a sort of fashion to put blame of everything on pandits, they forget that without purohits even simple havan pujan would be hardly possible, forget about the elaborate vivaah sansakar then..
