- Dubai saw its heaviest rainfall in 75 years on Tuesday. Many people on social media have speculated it is due to cloud seeding, but FOX 4 meteorologist Dylan Federico says that's not the case.

They were good old fashion torrential rain clouds. The entire South Indian ocean bassin has been getting those since Jan 2024. Not anymore as they now move into Winter.

We had so much rain in California this year that it took us out of a drought. Our oceans are warmer. Warm water evaporates quicker and causes more rain and flooding.

@@sal-the-manno it wasn’t. It happen right after the regularly scheduled healed cloud seeding. They seeded when the much smaller storm was coming and turned it into a super storm. The small storm was most likely caused by continuous cloud seeding over a long period of time.

All these people who say yes there was cloud seeding, but this is due to climate change, I have a legitimate question. Does cloud seeding not effect climate change in itself? Because if trees can effect climate by drawing moisture from the ground with the roots and releasing it into the air why would this not be a big contributor? Again I’m legitimately asking.

We all want to believe fox tells us the truth and they’re the last real new station, however cloud seeding is brand new technology developed in the last 20 years we have no idea the side effects. It may not be directly from cloud seeding but it might be one of the factors, making it rain when it shouldn’t alters the weather patterns and it eventually accumulates and hits you like a brick.

Even there is a cloud seeding it wont flood that way if Dubai has good drainage. They built and build buildings but I think they did not consider drainage because they think it won't ever rain that hard in Dubai

I live in Pakistan and ever since they started tempering with the clouds there in UAE nearly 2000 km away from us, we r seeing it's effect like annual flooding and extremely cold winter. Now we r not Canadians but 5 degree celsius or 41 Fahrenheit temperature is enough to halt life here.

If it was Cloud Seeding then any Elementary Age should take samples of water that aren't contaminated by sewer under a microscope! And look for the quanity of heavy minerals! Salt and Aluminum is what your looking for!
They need to apply permaculture principles to the land all around the region (see Bill Mollison and Geoff Lawton, Australia) and the Paani Foundation (Water Cup) in India - amazing what they did with their dry land. Won't stop the superstorms but would handle the water much better and put it where it is supposed to go, into the soil via permanent plant roots in the ground and down into the aquifer below (with tons of bonuses for people and wildlife). Similar for the UK - read Isabella Tree's book Wilding and see how the river that runs through their estate no longer floods the village downstream because of wilding and permaculture principles applied on the land upstream and allowing the river to meander naturally (and therefore store water in the soil) when it used to flood every winter. If the powers that be were wise, they'd start learning about permaculture asap and teaching their citizens to do it too.

Here is the thing cloud seeding is generally not successful. Read the research. Yes it does happen at times. It is possible the seeding aggravated the situation.
