My deep appreciation for Jazz music and utmost passion for Carnatic music inspired me to conceptualize bringing together the first jazz standard I've ever learnt and my favourite Thillana in the Raga Maand composed by Guru Sri. Lalgudi Jayaraman.

The jazz part was great. The second half was OK. The violin and mridangam were in the foreground, and the fusion did not really come through as fusion.
