    Amazing. I think a lot of instructional videos underexplain and I think this hits a great balance.

    What is that glass bar on the left in all our videos? And is that a fake spider on the top left?

    • @simplebaduk
      @simplebaduk  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The glass bar is something called Zhen Chi. It is used to keep a piece of paper flat on a table to either write or draw on the paper. Or it is used to keep a book flat. Thought it was going to be useless but became really handy haha
      And that's my brass crab. Thought it was cute and that crab is everywhere on my website ;D

      @@simplebaduk Both look cool. I have a brass scorpion from a few decades ago. I have to search for it now.

    What about the pincer when black has a stone halfway down the other side of the board? If white does a 3-3 invasion, black can block toward that side stone and build a moyo, and this works even if white has the corner as you indicated in the "bad" examples.

    • @simplebaduk
      @simplebaduk  ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you mean when white approaches from the right side and black has a stone around the middle of left side of the board?
      White can counter pincer if white is worried about black's moyo. If white is ballsy enough to take the corner, then black's moyo may mean very little to white. But, it also means white got some points so white is happy and black got a moyo so black is happy.

    Is "You only pincer the opponent if you have a stone on the other side as well" a Go proverb? Or have you created a new proverb?😀

      It is just something everyone says over here hahaha

    What about kicking the invasion? Is that considered keeping the corner at the expense of losing sente?

    • @simplebaduk
      @simplebaduk  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean by kicking the invasion...
      But, in the corner, we can always get take the sente instead of defend the corner. We can defend the corner later if the board has nothing more valueable to play than defending the corner.
