For gameplay reasons sometimes you need a smoke effect that doesn't expire after 5 mins. For that I'd use a script. A pure ME solution could use a switched condition trigger on time since flag that resets the same flag then starts the smoke(s).
Good stuff man.. any chance to use that white smoke (with specific density, radius and affected by actual wind) by ground unit, let's say an artillery gun fires a smoke screen on a target area of choice.. or a tank with manual smoke discharger (via F10menu since no game keybind for that).❕

Thanks for this. I've been using the static smoke but this is better as the color options are very useful
