I really sleep better after this video... 😅Yeah, this is how it should have ended... I think it was a mistake to cut his singing of “No One Would LIsten” from the movie because it shows yet another side of the Phantom’s personality. It reveals his tender, lonely, romantic soul... Some people say that he’s creepy, but that song shows that he’s really just suffering from his isolation, unrequited love, and rejection. Also, judging by his mental state in "the Final Lair", he was in so much pain he lost all the sanity he had until Christine kissed him. Which was intended to calm him down, and you can see that he was calm after the first kiss. But then she kisses him again.... At heart, he just wants to share the music, and to be loved.... That's all he asked and wanted! Just makes me wish Christine made the right and NOT the easiest choice.....
It is incredible that there should be such acting talent in a young Christine (16 years old)! You cannot detect a scintilla of “acting” in her acceptance of Eric! That is the only thing he is defenseless against! Forgiveness, acceptance, love. The perfect “atonement”, once he feels her perfect acceptance of him as he is (places her hand affectionately on his disfigurement), his heart melts and he is overcome and cannot act out of hate any longer. He is undone by her love and acceptance! He can no longer proceed with his evil plan. He must forgive and release her! He returns to the only thing that can give him peace now, his little toy monkey that he played with as a child. He returns to the comfort of his youth! The thing that comforted him when he was being exposed to the cruelty of the world.
+qwe6348 Yep, she didn't care what he looked like it's what he did they drove her away from him. But can she really be all that happy when she marries Roual after all living life of the rich can be dull and boring most of the time. Eric had talent in many things he is a musician, magician, architect, smart, cunning etc what does Roual have to offer Christine other than a title and money?
@@marion2648 If you listen to their interactions you would know they first met when they were children. They were childhood sweethearts but were seperated with her father's death.
+Ashley Davis May I remind you that the Phantom did murder people and he terrorized Christine, I could go all day about how she made the right decision
If you pay close attention, Raul was just as possessive of Christine as she was. If you read the original novel, Raul was not exactly a complimentary character.
I'm so glad that I have finally found someone who agrees that Christine should have gone with phantom. This literally made my day!!! 👌🏻🙏🏻👌🏻 Edit: wow I did not think so many people would agree with me, that makes me really happy lol. Also I have seen love never dies and although I'm not a huge fan of the plot, the music is absolutely beautiful!
I have watched the Phantom Of The Opera over a million times and cry my eyes out cuz Christine goes with Roule. This ending was brilliantly done. David Dubi you have made me so happy with tears of joy. Brilliant. Just brilliant.
I totally agree!!!!! People are always judging me, Saying don't cry its a happy ending. But no! Its a sad ending!!! This is exactly what I needed to see for such a while.
Nerissa Crawford during the title song when phantom sings "and though you turn from me to glance behind" I was told you actually turn away, it's like symbolism, I love it.
Jess he didn't he had his own interpretation which works brilliantly and then gives the sympathy for the phantom but this ending would be brilliant as well
MaffiiOrdaz actually blame Kristina Nilsson. Phantom of the opera is a fictional story based on real events with real people. Kristina was the real life Christine.
Yall think this is sad, but in the book he never even gets that kiss. They kiss each other on the forehead and then Christine runs off with Raoul and the Phantom dies with the ring on his finger.
Erik (the Phantom) has so much deeper feelings for Christine than Raoul! How could you simply ignore someone who has wrote an entire opera for you? gosh... :p And the fact that they made a sequel of Phantom to clearly show that, made me quite happy! However, to make the sequel even better, they should do a version with Gerard Butler and Emmy Rossum! That way it would be perfect!
You know that in the continuation of the musical that Andrew Lloyd Weber have made called "Love Never Dies" Christine and Erik actually end together, right? So this video is in fact true about how it ended.. well almost
@@warwickthekingmaker7281 your idea is as stupid as hers. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with happy endings, if the ending has a good message, then it's touching.
i loved watching that final clip where she chooses the phantom over her prince charming. In the sequel they do end up together but its short-lived by tragedy; that was the whole idea, she loved the phantom probably more than roule yes, but in the story she chose roul for his money as well as his appearance. Poor phantom he has a rich heart but, was left without his true love. beautifully edited well done👍👍
made him not. the phantom let her go with roul and told her to leave him alone because he loved her and wanted her to be happy. even after that he loved her because there is the end where the rose is on Christine's grave. he loved her after she dies married to roul. roul did not love her as much as the phantom did not even close. the real ending was tragic and the phantom got his heart broken to let her be happy. that is true love. maybe one day you will understand that.
Raoul didn't love Christine as much as the Phantom did? I disagree. The Phantom wasn't in love with *her*, it was her voice and the possibilities he saw in having a future with her that drew him to her. Raoul loved her for who she was and (the main thing) you say the Phantom let Christine leave with Raoul which proves his love for her (fair enough) but in the same scene Raoul was *literally* willing to sacrifice his life for Christine's happiness. If that isn't an act of love I don't know what is.
Couldnt agree with Victoria more! This is not a story of who was the most attractive one won. The Phantom was using Christine to show off his voice in fact in 'The Phantom of the Opera' song when Christine sings Í am the mask you wear'he replies 'It's me they hear'. Anyway for those of you who wish to see how the story evolves, watch 'Love never dies', the sequel!
YES!! THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY!!! I CRY AT THE END OF THIS MOVIE EVERYTIME BECASUE THE PHANTOM IS JUST MISUNDERSTOOD AND HIM AND CHRISTINE SHOULD HAVE ENDED UP TOGETHER AND I'M SO HAPPY THAT NOW I HAVE SOME KIND OF VISUAL FOR THAT ENDING!!!!
Christine was an idiot; not for choosing Eric but for allowing herself to be talked into Raoul for performing in that opera. Raoul was so stupid; if he loved her so much; he wouldn't have put jeopardized her safety. If the Phantom loved Christine; he wouldn't have pushed her down and screamed words of abuse at her. You don't do that to someone you love! The Phantom is also an idiot.
You forget that she did take off his mask (in the original he asks her NOT to) and it's fucking rude anyways. He doesn't wear it to be sexy he wears it because of his insecurity. Don't say you wouldn't flip your shit if someone randomly ripped a wig off you....
In the original story; he did ask her not to and it was rude that she did it anyway but that didn't give him the right to call her a demon. Of course he wears the mask because of his insecurity; most people do anyway. The mask I am talking about is figurative. Are you telling me that you wouldn't have unmasked him at the opera; because let me remind you that he was offering his heart to her on a silver platter with the ring that Raoul gave her. That is galling and in bad taste in my opinion. If he wanted her heart; he could have not killed the stagehand and Carlotta's husband or lover, pretending to be her father at her fathers grave, stalking her on previous occasions.
If you were paying attention you would know the Phantom's backstory, being used a freakshow and forced to show his deformity for people to mock and scorn him as well as physically abused by the gypsies he lived with. That kind of things results in PSTD especially when done at a young age and for an extended period of time, so when his mask is removed without his consent it no doubt triggers a kind of panic attack and/or flashback so lashing out is a reaction that he may not be able to control right away. He does calm down fairly quickly, and after that initial push doesn't lay a hand on her again until he's calmed down. When it's done again later during the opera having all those people around, hearing their reactions of horror probably caused a far greater attack/flashback and probably led to him to snapping for the remainder of the climax until Christine's gentleness brings him back to control of himself.
I agree with this video. My heart was broken for Erik when Cristine left him for Raoul. She should have stayed with Erik. Gerard Butler made so many emotions go through me with this performance. His voice and singing was so full of emotions! He was absolutely fantastic and I can’t picture anyone else as the Phantom. He is definitely the best Phantom of them all. I take my hat off to the casting director and the director. Amazing movie and my favorite. Just wished she had stayed with the Phantom. 😢
Right? I never really cared for "Plays"--to me it was adults re-living their school plays. The songs are just sung. They criticized Gerard's singing, but to me the way he sang his songs showed TRUE emotions, not just a play. They went straight to the heart and they make me cry like a baby!!! The only other musical I love is Les Mis with Hugh Jackman, Eddie Redmayne and Ann Hathaway. Plus the fact it was all sung LIVE!! No editing. When Eddie Redmayne sings "Empty Chairs" I need at least 3 tissues just for that scene alone!!!
this video deserves so much more credit. I've watched it like six times and I still think it's flawless and wonderfully made. I know this entire movie by heart, and I have for years. This is by far my favorite video on youtube. no question. Thank you for making this. You have no idea how amazing it is to me.
Omg!! Thank you!! Someone finally thinks Christine should've went with the Phantom!!! If this was the real ending, I would never cry of sadness, but of pure joy!! Thanks again for uploading.
Thank you so much. I always hated that The Phantom was totally in good graces and then Raoul came on and was like, "hey girl we haven't spoken in years, wanna get married" and she was like "k". I cried when the Phantom didn't get her. Get out Raoul!
I used to think Christine should have gone with Erik. But, then I started thinking about it. What turned her off of him wasn't his face. It was his anger issues and his willingness to kill. His reaction when she took off his mask while in his lair was terrifying, and Christine probably thought he was gonna kill her. Then she finds out that he killed a stage hand just because the house managers didn't do as he asked? I'd stay away from the Phantom, too, no matter how sexy his voice was! I'm sure Christine was probably wondering when she'd make a mistake that would cause him to kill her, as well.
PERFECT! But I just can't understand this movie!!!! They were so in love in this song (the point of no return)... look at her face, and in every song they sang together... God this movie is so sad... especially the part when there's a rose with the ring that Christine gave to the phantom in her grave... :(((
This was EXCELLENT! It seems like a lot of people want Erik to have his happy ending. I just finished reading, The Angel of the Opera, by Sam Siciliano and I loved it to bits! The phantom becomes a very happy man with a little help from none other than SHERLOCK HOLMES! Right now, I could play this video on endless repeat. Excuse me, while I play it again.
It didn't matter how many times I watch this movie, every time the Phantom sings, "Anywhere you go let me go to. Christine that's all I ask of you" gives me chills and makes me tear up. #JusticeForThePhantom he deserved so much better 😭😭😭😭
I just watched this and...I can't function properly ohmygoshicanthandleasdfghjkl! MY OTP! THE FEELS!!! I CANT!!!THIS IS BEAUTIFULLY EDITED AND I LOVE SO MANY THINGS ABOUT THIS! The editing of the clips together alone was wonderfully done and the song continuing on to show them together caused mE TO SOB SOMEONE SEND A RESCUE TEAM GONNA DROWN IN MY TEARS!!! I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS AND I APPLAUD THEE BECAUSE THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS RELATED TO PHANTOM THAT IS PHAN MADE THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! On a side note I haven't been able to watch the movie in a long time, (whereas the actual stage production 25th anniversary on Netflix I have many a time since I came across it huehuehue), but I still love the movie as well and I've been meaning to watch it and not seeing it in so freaking long made it EVEN BETTER I think. ~Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to continue re-watching this, experiencing the feels in my HEART and mY SOUL, sobbing, and appreciating this beautiful video for what it is. Thank you for making this, honestly made me feel better. :,,),,, (•}
Devon Vargas thanks for commenting all the words that were screaming in my head. Beautiful edit, amazing story, you can tell it's good when you just want to lay down and cry for about 9 years
It's November 2017 and I still listen to POTO music from the movie/musical almost every day and watch video clips from time to time. There is not a time I don't feel sad and heart broken for Christine's choice. Obviously I think she makes a horrible wrong choice and the phantom and Christine belong together. Anyway I just finished reading Susan Kay's book a few hours before seeing this video and was in a blue mood despite the book's ending is already somehow better the musical/movie. So this video really brightens up my day. I love the idea how you rewind the 'giving back the ring' part and you amazingly put together 'That's all I ask of ---' and the following melody of 'All I ask of you', because I always think it's a shame that he's not able to finish the whole phrase as he looks so sincere which makes me feel real bad for him. I really appreciate this video and I will definitely seek comfort here whenever my heart breaks for the phantom again. Thanks David for making this video :)
You root for the Phantom in the movie because of how Raoul is portrayed. In the 25th anniversary, Raoul is the obvious choice but you still have feelings for the Phantom.
If you read the original book by Gaston Leroux; I can understand why Christine didn't choose the phantom, he was completely irrational and mentally unstable. Even if he made Adonis look ugly, he still would not be a good marriage partner for anyone; no matter how eccentric one might be. To me; Raoul was not that much better than the Phantom in some ways such as listening outside Christine's door while conversing with her teacher, accuses her of having a lover, and spy's on her in her dressing room. Too bad that their wasn't a third man in her life that had Eric's genius and passion but at the same time had a very strong grip on reality, and his temper; in other words someone with mental stability. Eric nor Raoul are very good choices in my opinion.
Andrea Vanhoof I am currently reading the book and I'm still on the Erik team. Raoul seems more obsessive than he does in the movie and yes Erik is pretty insane but I agree with his statements. Not the dragging by her hair part or kidnapping her but when he got upset because he knew if he was better looking she wouldn't be as scared. He didn't use the correct word choices but if he never had the deformity he wouldn't have been abused when he was younger so he wouldn't have any reason to kill anyone. Also Christine was comfortable with him until she saw his face. That was when it all went down hill. Even if Erik was a crazy murderer he was still gentle with Christine just not when she took off his mask when he wasn't expecting it.
@@riverprice3231 Don't judge the ending of the Phantom by how Raoul is portrayed in LND. LND is a travesty that contradicts many of the facts already established in Phantom. The timeline is screwed up. The Phantom could never have been Gustave's father, because according to the facts already established in Phantom, Erik and Christine could never have had the liaison that supposedly produced him.
I love how you made this video especially the very end it's so beautiful and I really wish that Erik and Christine would have been together in the end of the movie
It is torturous to try and sit through watching anyone but Gerard Butler and Emmy Rossum perform Phantom. From the time this story was first conceived it was unknowingly made for their performances. So many have tried to interpret these roles but they can in no way come close to Gerard and Emmy. If you have not seen this movie you have not seen Phantom, even if you have had the best seats at the best live show. And yes this movie should have ended with them together. You cannot help but feel for Raul and the affection and love he shares with Christine. You want to see them happy together. But you cannot help but knowing it was Gerard's character (Erik) who should have ended up with Christine. And nobody has ever performed the roles of these three characters better. Nobody ever will.
This is the only piece of modern art work I have found which is truly erotic; sensual, sexual, but no coarseness, or brutal animal sex, but suggestive and clear of meaning, yet veiled.
I see that after all this time, some of us are still here. I watch this so often because I am a hopeless romantic and this feeds that in me, what can I say? I am also a fan of Gerard. I also have read the original novel. Perhaps this re-make video strikes a cord in many of us because maybe we can relate to the Phantom in some way, the unloved, the under dog, the abused and shunned or Christine, being torn, inexperience and young. There's nothing right about his actions and behaviors even though his life was hell but it did show that there was still good in him after having survived a life I couldn't imagine. I believe he did love Christine in his own way even though he killed, he stalked her and kidnapped her. This was obsession and he was blinded by his pain and experiences so no this isn't the healthiest. In this version, she stays with him because she understands what a mess he is and loves him anyway. That may be simply stated and in the "Real" world, no one should stay with an abuser. This video of course is not the real world. People are separated for a lot less reasons. It's the fantasy and sometimes the fantasy can seem better than reality.
as a POTO lover, i disagree with this. the fact that phantom ultimately lets her go is what makes it so tragic and so beautiful, he accepts the fact that he has turned into a monster, after holding her and keeping her from the outside world, so in an act of humanity, he lets her go. she loves him, yes, but she would be happier with raoul and the phantom knows it. i prefer the original ending, but i appreciate the effort that went into this one.
I have the DVD and watch this movie over abd over again and never get tried of it yes I believe Christine should have gone with Eric he loved her so much and because he loved her he let her go
@@reneejohnson7466 In this version, Christine would have been very happy with the Phantom, because they had a special relationship and shared a passion for music. With his amazing talent and help, she would have become a Prima Donna of the highest standard. Besides, his face doesn't look that bad and he adores Christine unconditionally. And their children would be geniuses. Unfortunately, she just decided to become the wife of a rich man. 😅😅😅
Christine made the right choice to go with Raul, Raul loved her too and did not terrorize her nor was toxic to her. The Phantom was a murderer and just like what Christine said the phantom had an ugly soul.
This video was everything I wanted and more! It made me happy to see Christine with the Phantom at the end! I was so sad when she went with Raul. I'm glad that someone also thinks that this is the right ending
This was AMAZING!!! Words cannot truly express my feelings right now as this is one of my favorite movies of all time and I was so sad when it ended and she did not go with the Phantom. Finally someone has created the ending we have all hoped for since the beginning! A job well done indeed. This is the kind of thing that makes me wish they did a remake of the movie with this ending instead. Outright phenomenal.
Okay like I too felt like she should've gone with Phantom But if you think about it...he had an obsession with her ,he was stalking her, he killed people, tried to kill Raoul,he even scared Christine
i like the idea but all it has to be is PHANTOM WINNING CHRISTINE BECAUSE HE HAS LOVED HER FOR YEARS UNLIKE RAOUL WHO ALL OF A SUDDEN SAYS HE LOVES CHRISTINE
I'm very sad to know that everything ended the way it is. I understand that the Phantom was a terrible person, but remembering his childhood, the fact that he was not loved - I can't hate him. I can only cry and love him... I would like her to give him love and change Erik. But because of the injustice of life to him, he acted in such a way that Christine was afraid of him. And he just didn't know how to keep his beloved otherwise..💔
I can't hate him either. Well, with his past, he could have been a much worse person, but he wasn't... I think the phantom was provoked by the new managers and Raoul. Yeah, he scared people, but it seems like before he's never caused any serious harm. As for Carlotta - she said -"for the past three years these things do happen!" He's been trying to get rid of her for three years, but clearly he's never done her any real harm. He did some pranks on her. To me that speaks volumes about his internal struggle. He never set out with the intention to kill people. His mind is slipping as the movie goes on, but I find it almost impossible to believe that the damage he caused was his original intention. If it was he would have done it a long time ago. Yet, if he set about to get rid of bad cast members like Carlotta through scare tactics but not true harm, that says so much about a hidden gentleness, a natural gentleness, because he has every reason to hate people. Beaten, mocked and abused for something he was born with. That's enough to drive anyone mad, yet he was able to hold back that madness for years.Violence and anger are easy, and it took him a long time to choose the easy way..... The people he murdered probably were just as trashy as the ones who caused him his trauma. 💔 So, two Lovers visit her grave: Raoul and the Phantom. After all those years, the Phantom was still in love with her. True love will last a lifetime and even longer than that. Christine may not have loved the Phantom the way he hoped but he loved her enough to let her be happy....

I love your ending! I think this made me realize just how badly I want the Phantom and Christine together! I was literally crying tears of happiness when you played AIAOY when she kissed him.
Yeah, sure, Christine totally should have gone with the manipulative sociopath who kills people who insult him, who literally stalks Christine and invades her privacy constantly throughout the film, who kidnaps her from her dressing room when anyone else shows her the slightest affection. I'm sure that's exactly what most girls are looking for in a man. This was really well made and synced together, it looked awesome.

finally, someone who understands me. I've said over and over again to others that Christine should have ended up with the Phantom, but I guess others see that as wrong because he was obsessed with her and not loved. but then again isn't that what love is. when you can't live without the other and will do anything to win them, again and again. ..
Bravo Mr. Dubi. The best POTO montage with ALW's 'Past the Point of no Return' Cinema edit with music was fantastic. I was surprised at how strong the emotion portrayed was compared to the full movie. The Phantom of the Opera movie did not pull this viewer to feel the love Erik had for Christine and vice versa. Talented you are your work showed people are real. I loved watching.
Oh my gosh wow! I seriously thought it should have ended this way when I first watched it and SO wish it had. I love this end and applaud the effort put into making this. Thanks David Dubi! I might just pretend it did end this way because it's honestly more appealing to me than the real way
What is everyone talking about? The Phantom was crazy. He literally hit her and threw her to the ground when she tried to take his mask off. He stared at her through a mirror while she changed in her room. He had a freaking life sized doll of her in a wedding grown in his lair. He kidnapped her, he phycologically manipulated her and killed anyone who got in his way??? Why would anyone want her to end up with him??
I guess a lot of us wants to choose erik over raul because inside of us we yearn for someone to love us despite our ugliest or darkess form, our insecurities and our madness. Just random thought. I love the ending of this one even if its not the classic. Somehow i perceived that christine loved the phantom even after marrying raul, thats why raul bought the monkey to pay respect to cristine's grave. Because she keeps talking about it
Alright so personal opinion: the first time I watch the movie, I did think like this ,that Christine should've been with the phantom. But ,and a huge but, upon rewatching it, I've noticed that their interactions had most all the signs of an abusive relationship. He may have loved her, but the phantom was abusive and controlling, and it wasn't right for her to stay with him.
rewinding the part where she gives him back the ring to make it look like she is actually taking it - yes that was class.
Samantha Jones ikr
Love it!!!
Yep! That is how I would like it to end. Thanks!
I was like wow awesome so it looked as if she was getting engaged to Erik
Especially when he did his little heavy breathing
You know what? This video helped a lot of Phantom fans out here sleep in peace. Thank you!!
Yes thank you.

I really sleep better after this video... 😅Yeah, this is how it should have ended... I think it was a mistake to cut his singing of “No One Would LIsten” from the movie because it shows yet another side of the Phantom’s personality. It reveals his tender, lonely, romantic soul... If I was Chirstine, I would have chosen Eric. Besides, I love his voice and Raoul never noticed Chirstine until her performance

Kamilah Palmer I completely agree
Lol thank you!!!! Im so glad I'm not the only one out there who feels the same way.
1:06 "No backward glances" *Looks backwards*
Isabella Traylor I did this play as Christine and the director told me to look back when he said no backwards glances lmfao
+Emmy Vi Gonna be Christine for school play and the director told me that too 😃
Nerissa Crawford during the title song when phantom sings "and though you turn from me to glance behind" I was told you actually turn away, it's like symbolism, I love it.
Isabella Traylor This actually made me lol
that was spot on. lol
Someone call Andrew, tell him he got it all wrong
LOL :-) pleasee!
Jess he didn't he had his own interpretation which works brilliantly and then gives the sympathy for the phantom but this ending would be brilliant as well
Well Andrew didn't write the plot so...
If you're going to blame someone, blame Gaston :P
MaffiiOrdaz actually blame Kristina Nilsson. Phantom of the opera is a fictional story based on real events with real people. Kristina was the real life Christine.
I love the actual ending because it is so sad that it's kind of beautiful in a way. Watching this, though, is heaven...
I agree with you. And I'm Team Raoul, so it makes complete sense to me for Christine to go with him :)
Katherine Broderick TEAM ERINE
ScarJon Team Raoul :D
AmyNikita nah, man, she loved Erik.
ScarJon I believe she loved Raoul :)
Yall think this is sad, but in the book he never even gets that kiss. They kiss each other on the forehead and then Christine runs off with Raoul and the Phantom dies with the ring on his finger.
WAIT WHAT HE DIES?!?! NO THATS FAKE STOP STOOOOPPPP
What is the cause of death in the novel?
We should try to read it
@@leandrodafontoura Heart condition
HE DIES? im literally never gonna read that book A: Raul has the personality of the shoe B: Erik is 10x better
I would love such a sequel.
The best couple
Perfect comment 🙏🏽
To the ones crying at the 2004 movie's ending... read the original novel by Gaston Leroux, you'll cry even harder.
Plz don't remind me
+MySubarashii why did you remind me.... :'(
+MySubarashii how did it end? PLEASE tell me she's with erik
+coffe8300 No, she wasn't with Erik. Also, Erik died of a heart break, at least that's what I gathered.
"Phantom" by Susan Kay is wonderful as well
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EMAIL THIS TO ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER?! I BELIEVE HIS MUSICAL NEEDS SOME CHANGES!
You know that in the continuation of the musical that Andrew Lloyd Weber have made called "Love Never Dies" Christine and Erik actually end together, right? So this video is in fact true about how it ended.. well almost
Stop insulting the original. Happy endings are the most boring and least touching ones.
@@warwickthekingmaker7281 your idea is as stupid as hers. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with happy endings, if the ending has a good message, then it's touching.
@@julietasgarabotto4188 Love Never Dies is a crap fanfic
You're aware that this story belongs to Gaston Leroux and not Webber, right?
I am so very glad to see that at least SOMEONE agrees that Christine should have been with Erik
im completely fine with christine not choosing the phantom, cause then i can have him :) Ungrateful welp
Cosplayer Queen98 ikr?!
😂
Cosplayer Queen98 usually I get mad when people are ok with Christine ending up with Raoul but with your statement I understand😂😂
Cosplayer Queen98 omg yes
Erik is mine back off
I like how you reversed the clip where she gave him back the ring, so it looks like she loves him
Oh is that how he did that
no that actually happens 😚
lizzy Corbett i can't tell whether this comment is sarcastic or not...
It is pretty clever actually :) Sad how in the movie and the musical she leaves him. I would have stayed dammit!!!!! :'(
i loved watching that final clip where she chooses the phantom over her prince charming.
Lisa Page I would love to watch this video and then the movie before i die or get to go into paradise with the phantom and christen together.
Why do so many people find stalkers attractive?
Luana Grech had no idea there was a sequel 😮! have to see
Yeah, living alone with a murderer is absolutely my idea of a happy ending.
At 5:47- Christine is actually smiling at him. I think there is a spot in her heart that genuinely loves him behind that cold, twisted demeanor.
I had the chance to see part 2 last year. wonderful. go see it.
Part 2?
@maggiethomas205love never dies
I'm not gonna cry, I'm not gonna cry, I'm not gonna...damn it.
Omg!! Thank you!! Someone finally thinks Christine should've went with the Phantom!!! If this was the real ending, I would never cry of sadness, but of pure joy!! Thanks again for uploading.
alessandra kiana eiras I mean... there is a sequel. Love Never Dies.
The sequel Love Never Dies
This is perfection, I'm swimming in my own tears
The original end is to sad. This one is perfect! Christine
I agree.
well this gave me major closure and a lot of tears
Oh my god, yeeeeees I love how they kissed after she unmasked erik! totally love it!!!
I never thought so many people thought Erik should have gotten the happy ending! This makes me so happy!!
Fruityfruits the movie makes me feel so depressed cause I feel so bad for him
Happy Ending after me love you long time.....probably shouldn't say that with the Chinese virus and all.
The only way to describe this is perfect, just perfect.
Wow! That was gorgeous. This is absolutely the way it should have ended.
Roule was a lame excuse for a man. Phantom rules! As we all find out in Love Never Dies.
Excuse me, while I play it again.
he was so hot with all the costumes. the red one is muy favorite 💜
thank you from #TEAMPHANTOM fans everywhere!!!!♡♡♡♡
YESSSS!
That's how it *should've* ended! 😭😭❤
Erik's happy ending is a _must_ 😔
after watching the movie since i was a little kid i always wanted the phantom and Christine to be together THANKS #David Dubi # ; D

About time someone ended it the way it should have.
Actually made me tear up.
Yes! That's how it should have ended.
Yes!! I always thought she should have ended up with him!
MikeAlexBillsZ very much
Every time I watch it I picture it ending like that
That's the way I wanted it to end on the first place
It didn't matter how many times I watch this movie, every time the Phantom sings, "Anywhere you go let me go to. Christine that's all I ask of you" gives me chills and makes me tear up. #JusticeForThePhantom he deserved so much better 😭😭😭😭
I just watched it again. It's just so perfect. (Tears of joy)
I just watched this and...I can't function properly ohmygoshicanthandleasdfghjkl! MY OTP! THE FEELS!!! I CANT!!!THIS IS BEAUTIFULLY EDITED AND I LOVE SO MANY THINGS ABOUT THIS! The editing of the clips together alone was wonderfully done and the song continuing on to show them together caused mE TO SOB SOMEONE SEND A RESCUE TEAM GONNA DROWN IN MY TEARS!!! I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS AND I APPLAUD THEE BECAUSE THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS RELATED TO PHANTOM THAT IS PHAN MADE THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! On a side note I haven't been able to watch the movie in a long time, (whereas the actual stage production 25th anniversary on Netflix I have many a time since I came across it huehuehue), but I still love the movie as well and I've been meaning to watch it and not seeing it in so freaking long made it EVEN BETTER I think. ~Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to continue re-watching this, experiencing the feels in my HEART and mY SOUL, sobbing, and appreciating this beautiful video for what it is. Thank you for making this, honestly made me feel better. :,,),,, (•}
Thank you, I enjoyed making it and love that it makes you so happy.
Devon Vargas thanks for commenting all the words that were screaming in my head. Beautiful edit, amazing story, you can tell it's good when you just want to lay down and cry for about 9 years
Devon Vargas I agree ❤
This ending is much clearer in this version than the original and makes more sense!
Yes it does.
Watch Love Never Dies any you'll find out why we all hate Raoul
+River Price same
If you read the original book by Gaston Leroux; I can understand why Christine didn't choose the phantom, he was completely irrational and mentally unstable.
The Phantom could never have been Gustave's father, because according to the facts already established in Phantom, Erik and Christine could never have had the liaison that supposedly produced him.
i agree with you mate, thats how it should've ended.
Yes!! Omg I love this so much!! Great job! This is now my favorite video on TH-cam!❤😂
AND THE EDIT OF THE AUDIO WHEN ERIK AND CHRISTINE SANG ALL I ASK OF YOU OMGGGG
It's the fantasy and sometimes the fantasy can seem better than reality.
i'm insanely satisfied right now. thank you so much or making this Video.
I love how you played the last part backwards
Rachel Harper a
Rachel Harper, that was my favorite part, too! :-)
as a POTO lover, i disagree with this. the fact that phantom ultimately lets her go is what makes it so tragic and so beautiful, he accepts the fact that he has turned into a monster, after holding her and keeping her from the outside world, so in an act of humanity, he lets her go. she loves him, yes, but she would be happier with raoul and the phantom knows it. i prefer the original ending, but i appreciate the effort that went into this one.
Maturing is understanding this
Yea.. no. They’d have been happier together
I can agree but I would much rather have Christine choose Erik in the end but the actual ending does hold symbolism to Erik's humanity
THIS IS BETTER, I LOVE THIS. THIS MAKES ME WANT TO CRY
Christine made the right choice to go with Raul, Raul loved her too and did not terrorize her nor was toxic to her. The Phantom was a murderer and just like what Christine said the phantom had an ugly soul.
Agreed.
The Phantom had selective reasons while Raoul was sweet and dedicated.
This video was everything I wanted and more! It made me happy to see Christine with the Phantom at the end! I was so sad when she went with Raul. I'm glad that someone also thinks that this is the right ending
Why? Raoul is perfect for her.
why didnt this happen. im in a puddle on the floor
Outright phenomenal.
love it.... if only if only that's how it had ended. Who turns down someone like The Phantom for Raoul..... ugh. anyways good job.
How about someone who doesn't want to spend the rest of their life with an obsessive psycho murderer?
Bart Wentink there was a reason why he murdered people. A lifelong period of abuse and trauma.
Yes man, Raoul is so stupid, Erik was the best option for her... but i think Erik doesn't deserve Christine, he deserves so much better ❤❤
Love this ❤️ I've always wanted Christine and The Phantom to be together.
Okay like I too felt like she should've gone with Phantom
But if you think about it...he had an obsession with her ,he was stalking her, he killed people, tried to kill Raoul,he even scared Christine
i like the idea but all it has to be is PHANTOM WINNING CHRISTINE BECAUSE HE HAS LOVED HER FOR YEARS UNLIKE RAOUL WHO ALL OF A SUDDEN SAYS HE LOVES CHRISTINE
this remake was beautiful i’m so happy someone finally made this and it looks amazing
i'm happy with this ending.... :')
Omg. I cried. I cant. omg this is to much. Im done. omg. I LOVE THIS
Yeses same.
I know right... uh.. happy tears.
Oh, my fragile heart! Thank you SO much for this. Erik & Christine forever!!!!
Finally the ending I always imagined!
I think we can all confidently say this is how it ended. We can all have peace now
I'm very sad to know that everything ended the way it is.
OH MY GOD THAT TRANSITION AT 5:58 I'M DYING. SO GOOD.
This ending is BEAUTIFUL it makes sense that Christine falls in love with The phantom!!
_Agreed. But in the real world both you and I know that would never happen._
Phantom:
You have come here
In pursuit of your deepest urge
In pursuit of that wish which till now
Has been silent
Silent
I have brought you
That our passions may fuse and merge
In your mind you’ve already succumbed to me
Dropped all defences
Completely succumbed to me,
Now you are here with me
No second thoughts
You’ve decided, decided
Past the point of no return
No backward glances
Our games of make-believe are at an end
Past all thought of if or when
No use resisting
Abandon thought and let the dream descend
What raging fire shall flood the soul?
What rich desire unlocks its door?
What sweet seduction lies before us?
Past the point of no return
The final threshold
What warm unspoken secrets will we learn?
Beyond the point of no return
Christine:
You have brought me
To that moment when words run dry
To that moment when speech disappears
Into silence
Silence
I have come here
Hardly knowing the reason why
In my mind I’ve already imagined our bodies entwining, defenceless and silent
Now I am here with you, no second thoughts
I’ve decided, decided
Past the point of no return
No going back now
Our passion-play has now at last begun
Past all thought of right or wrong
One final question
How long should we two wait before we’re one?
When will the blood begin to race
The sleeping bud burst into bloom
When will the flames at last consume us
Both:
Past the point of no return
The final threshold
The bridge is crossed, so stand and watch it burn
We’ve passed the point of no return
Phantom:
Say you’ll share with me one love, one lifetime
Lead me, save me from my solitude
Say you want me with you here, beside you
Anywhere you go let me go too
Christine, that’s all I ask of you!
Raoul and Christine:

I love your ending! I think this made me realize just how badly I want the Phantom and Christine together! I was literally crying tears of happiness when you played AIAOY when she kissed him.
OMG you beautiful person, you fixed it!!! :D
Эрик не просто подарил ей кольцо
Он отдал своё сердце💔
И он любил её больше, чем Рауль
Yeah, sure, Christine totally should have gone with the manipulative sociopath who kills people who insult him, who literally stalks Christine and invades her privacy constantly throughout the film, who kidnaps her from her dressing room when anyone else shows her the slightest affection. I'm sure that's exactly what most girls are looking for in a man.
This was really well made and synced together, it looked awesome.

finally, someone who understands me. I've said over and over again to others that Christine should have ended up with the Phantom, but I guess others see that as wrong because he was obsessed with her and not loved. but then again isn't that what love is. when you can't live without the other and will do anything to win them, again and again. ..
This is truly beautiful 😍
Well produced and what a great ending, the Phantom would've been proud.. :) My Fiancée loves it very much, such a sweet ending...
Bravo Mr.
I love this video and I completely agree that this is how it should have ended. Thank you for making this. :)
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING AND THE BEST THING EVERRRR
5:19 SHE IS SMILING! She definitely felt something for him!
Oh my gosh wow! I seriously thought it should have ended this way when I first watched it and SO wish it had. I love this end and applaud the effort put into making this. Thanks David Dubi! I might just pretend it did end this way because it's honestly more appealing to me than the real way
Seriously crying. I love this so much!
I read this novel when I was 11 and I still love The Phantom of the opera and yes this would be great ending.
OMGGGGGG. THIS IS ACTUALLY THE END I WANT !!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCHHHH :'( :'( :'(
What is everyone talking about?
I HAVE NEEDED THIS ENDING SINCE I WAS 11 YEARS OLD. (25 now lol) Thank you for this
this is the best ending ever!the first time I watched the phantom of the opera I thought that Christine should ditch Raoul and live with the phantom!
