Hi guys we love this neck of the woods! Great video and great droning (with your drone that is 🤣) those birds were definitely after your lunch! Have a great weekend 👍
What a beautiful small town that is. You can't beat a proper sweet shop especially with jar sweet's takes me back going to the sweet shops in Workington and getting the sweet's weighed out on weighing scales with the weights on one side sweet's on other and tipping them out into a paper bag. They all had that certain smell. The good old days.😂 Malcolm and Sheila from Workington.
It’s a lovely little town isn’t it - like you say the sweet shop took me back to when I was a child and exactly as you described with the bags and the smell of the sweets - it was great to take a look inside and get some goodies - all the very best, David & Rachel 👍
Hi David a great video as ever what a beautiful area looks a great place with lots to explore and a real place to switch off and appreciate that stunning scenery and the walk looked amazing The town looks lovely and picturesque and a great range of shops to browse in and restaurants as well certainly a lot of civic pride which is good to see It reminds me a lot of the Cotswolds maybe it’s the stone buildings Hope you are all keeping well say hi to Rachel and Roxy as well hope they got some treats! All the best Daniel
Hi Daniel - hope you’re good. It’s a lovely town and area - very scenic and also some interesting shops and the likes. Rachel says Hi and Roxy sends a wag 🐾 have a great weekend, all the best, David 👍
Cracking vlog, missed Rachel though, thats the site we are hoping to go to,saw it on our last visit and then here we tow went. Glad you enjoyed your walk. See you in the next one x
Ahhhh thank you Julie 💗💗💗 Unfortunately David gets more holiday than me so he has done the walking festival by himself for quite a few years. It gives him a good stretch of legs! We are on the shores of Loch Lomand currently and the beauty has blown me away 💗💗 Thank you as ever for watching & commenting Rachel & David 💗💗
Oh wow!! Riverside at Pateley Bridge is our favourite ever site. We were there for all of July this year. They do a fantastic discount for stays of a month. Worked out to be around £18 per night. Just love the place. You covered the area brilliantly David in your usual excellent style. Thanks alot. Regards, Mo 😊👍... ps, can you guess that we love Pateley? 😂😂😂
Thank you - It’s an amazing area and site - it’s great if they do long stay discounts - I can understand why you would want to stay for a while it’s brilliant - nice to find lovely sites and towns with such beautiful surroundings - all the very best, David 👍
Love Pateley Bridge, been once a few years ago, need to go back. Did you pass the butchers, they make fantastic pies and pasties 🙂 Sweet shop is brilliant. Food looked very nice in The Crown, walked looked good to the rocks, brill video as ever 🙂 Trev Debz and Tyler.
I passed the butchers but when I get back it was closed unfortunately so will have to go back again to try the famous pies! Cracking place isn’t it 😀 All the very best, David & Rachel 👍❤️
Forgot to mention in the previous comment earlier. Asking the shop keeper for a quarter of sweet's meaning quarter of a pound in weight. I paid by cash in coin's in Home bargains tother day young lass just looked at me and had to count it 3 times. It only come to 7 pounds & 87 Pence. It was in a variety of coins though😂
Paying in cash is getting much less common isn’t it (some folks still prefer it but rarer) - I remember when you got a quarter of sweets - how times have and are changing eh!
What a lovely place to stay and a great walk to a beautiful town. Thankyou, one for my list.❤
It’s an amazing place and well worth a visit - thanks very much, all the very best, David 👍

I do mate. About 70 yds from the Sandwich Box wich is owned by good friends of mine. 🙂
Pateley Bridge looks a nice place to visit. I’d never heard of Brimham rocks but look like a good place to have a walk. Take care Gill
Gill it is beautiful- a real oldie worldly place with quaint little shops!
Bri ham is impressive - Bob it on your list Gill x
Was just in a similar sweetshop in Calver in the Peak District yesterday. Got some "Army and Navy" - lovely! 😋
Army & navy - you don’t see them around much ! Are you warding off any winter bugs now the weather has turned? 😂😂
Rachel & David 💗
