The rate of melasma during pregnancy in Pakistan is 46%. Melasma may be a common pigmentation disorder that causes brown or gray patches (chehre ke daag) to appear on the skin, especially on the face. Pigmentation (chehre ki chaiyan) may be a broad term, which refers to the dark coloring of the skin.
