    Great video! I learned a lot.
    I'm surprised you didn't mention mummia. In arabic the word means pitch or resin, and people used it to poultice wounds. Even today I gather sheep shearers use it to seal wounds made by careless shearing. Unfortunately at some point along the way someone decided it referred to egyptian mummies and kicked off a tradition which lasted a few centuries of using powdered dessicated human flesh in poultices.

    I think it still has a profound purpose even if it's only a novice dabble, I think all schools of healing and medicine started at ground zero with trial and error, great presentation makes me appreciate the adversity of a distant past that still exist today under the right circumstances plus the modern aspects of life were one resides or is stranded...for all we know our diet and all modern day consumables are unique potions and remedies if done right.
