I mean Akai made it, they are the OGs of hardware controllers. But in terms of integration Novation is probably the best, like the way theyre shxt integrates into Ableton is amazing. But Presonus aint about to make a controller for a competitor they wont even make S1 NKS compatible lol

You need to send two units to someone. Everyone says you can use these in a dual configuration but i cant find any videos of it. Id do it myself but im a little gunshy after trying it with fire and being disappointed.
All we need now is for an update that allows us to use the encoders to “chop” samples. Basically have the ability to control the start and end points of a sample inside impact and sample one. Thanks!

I'm strictly been a Sonar/Cakewalk user for the past 13 years, however I felt it was time for me to expand my recording production tools outside of the Sonar/Cakewalk realm. My baby brother does production and he has been trying to get me to use Studio One for the past 3 years, needless to say we have not been able to work on projects together, which was my inspiration for purchasing the Atom pad controller, and that it came with the full working of Studio One 4 Artist is the plus. So yeah now I'm learning not only Studio One but Ableton Live 10 which also came with the bundle. Basically I'll be using Atom to trigger beats and samples to then record a bass line over and have a complete groove to then record my keyboard parts over. And I'll also be using Atom to perform transport functions as well. Very informativre video. What I need is how to get Atom maped into Ableton Live 10 and mapped to trigger beats and samples in both Studio One and Ableton Live 10 as this is the first time I've ever worked with a pad controller.
I like this review/overview! All the other videos I've found go over the basics only, where this does cover basics but also you went over the actual practical uses of it since you've actually used it for some time. Thanks!
with keyboard mode the only limitation I see really is visual cueing. as in it should shift to the key and scale selected in the editor. outside of the aesthetics playing wise theres the chorder note fx

just checking to see if the navigation buttons seem to work fine when you're accessing the browser when you are in the song setup mode? mine act like there locked sometimes when trying to load a sound from the plug in folder.

I Wasn't going to get one but they sent me one and I had to try it out. And then I fell in love with it and with my new workflow in studio one it works magic.
I know this is gonna sound like shade MrDifferentTV but it's not...i like your channel BUT::::::::::: Why don't you STUDIO ONE guys be honest and talk about the LATENCY problem(ex. KsndDEF on youtube) at least he is honest about it. Their latency is worst than FL Studio. You need a super computer 16-32 GB RAM and an expensive interface $500 or more to run with zero latency. I advise you PC guys to use Ableton, Bitwig or Reason if you wanna play midi and not have to correct or nudge your notes EVERYTIME....if you play the keys halfway decent and can do chords while playing melodies, forget about it....i don't wanna spend 10 minutes correcting notes after i play something perfectly...Studio One isn't concerned with fixing functionality, they only add features and controllers that are pointless if latency sucks.....Lets not talk about the bullshit Z for zero latency, doesn't work I cant even run EASTWest play vst with Studio One(runs perfect with Bitwig, Ableton and Reason)...it drops notes like tryna carry 1 million bricks with one hand while skydiving Sure I may have a middle of the road laptop HP , 8GB ram , intel core I7 but it works fine with other DAWS like Ableton Bitwig and Reason with no latency issues..... I even run Omnisphere with multiple instances like a charm....NO ISSUES!! If you don't have a monster CPU ...STAY AWAY FROM STUDIO ONE!!!!! Also their customer support is trash......After 45 emails back n forth and referring me to a third party who didn't build the program.......They told me My laptop meets all the requirements on paper from their website for Studio One but Studio One wouldn't run on my computer.........no refund!!! They basically told me to fuck off!
So what are your computer specs because I have not had any problems with studio one if anything FL runs like shit for me. what is your overall setup? I have been using it for a while making beats longer just recording vocals but I have had the problem your getting. Maybe my set it really good or you might have something wrong with your computer. I would like to know more about it that way I can do test my self and make videos about it. Because if there is something that needs to be fixed I want to put it to light. And yes I use studio one as well as Fl but i'm not on either side I use what works for me heck i even got pro tools to look at the bottom of the screen lol.

So switched to Bitwig.....no problems....been a Reason user forever, no problems....used abelton live lite 7-10, no problems All Im saying is this needs to be talked about.
