      @@FilipHolm Brother If Imay ask, when did you learn to play the Oud and how long have you been playing? I am asking because I am 23 and I havemt had the chance to learn this instrument and now that I can get a bit of money I was wondering if it would be possible for an adult like me to learn such a difficult yet wonderful instrument.

    • @FilipHolm
      @FilipHolm  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@godkingarus8180 I started playing it when I was 18, having already played the guitar for about five years at that point. So I've been playing it for basically 10 years now. It is definitely possible to start learning as an adult. I haven't had as much time to dedicate to it as I would have liked, but it is a wonderful learning experience nonetheless.

      @@FilipHolm Ahhh I should have guessed by the way you played with ease that you had quite some experience. Thank you for your answer! And btw, more than experience, I noticed that you have a particular affinity for the timing and the rythm upon which you improvise your piece. Wonderful playing from your part!

    Also, maybe the mike away from the left hand as the trebling over the frets makes a "disturbing?" Sound, maybe it is part of the music itself, so I am being cautious, but it surely threw me off.

    • @FilipHolm
      @FilipHolm  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Are you referring to the sound of the fingers moving across the neck?

    • @Abd-kb7tr
      @Abd-kb7tr 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FilipHolm I think he means the slight squeal type noise that's made when you're doing vibrato on the wound strings, I personally like that noise, but if you wanna get rid of that noise you can do what classical guitarists do and lick your left hand fingers slightly or put some light moisturiser on them
