      Hello, can I ask what exactly you use of her recommendations that changed your hair because it fits my hair description, and I’m struggling with my hair care right now. Thank you in advance.

      @@NMJ-n1i I use Epres all over and OGX oil on my ends before every wash. I double cleanse, focusing on the scalp, first with Pantene Pro V Volume & Body, then Dove Bond Strength. A lot of us with curly hair were told not to use "harsh" shampoos but clarifying my hair regularly has made such a huge difference in my hair health. I also stopped bleaching. Not an Abbey Yung rec, but my favorite conditioner for years has been Mop Top Salon Daily Conditioner.

      I agree, my lifeless falling out hair after 10 years came back to life. Abbey is the true hair guru. She don't just recommend based off ingredients but actual product formulations that work. If you're watching Abbey, consider making haircare we can trust and rely on that works well and stays that way! Oh, and affordable. 😂
      Happy Holiday's everyone. 💚❤️🎄

      I think it's pricey enough. $13-$14 for such a small amount. I been using it for the last 6mo exclusively and I am alittle on the fence with it.
      Yes it's incredible at making your skin feel soft but Vaseline Intensive Care (that I've used for 30-40years) is flawless at not breaking me out and keeping me hydrated for at least 3 days at a time. Vani seems to peter out after about a day. (hence named "daily" moisturizer) It also makes my nose feel wierd. 😂
      But I've also been using LA Roche Posay hydrating cleanser with it and yeah, I seem to break out in funny rashes, get milia and other oddities that I never in 55years ever had. Maybe the two together is finicky.
      I since (this week) went back to Vaseline Lotion but I'll never stop trying to squeeze in Vanicream because ingredient wise it's everything Vaseline isn't. Sorry for long post but wanted to share my 6mo experience with Vanicream. 💚❤️🎄🤟

    I used the Elizavecca protein treatment on my son’s longish hair as at his last haircut , my sister is a hairstylist, who cuts his hair, said she was shocked at how damaged his hair was. I used the treatment just once and she noticed a drastic improvement in his hair. We also gave him a proper bonding shampoo and conditioner to use, which also helped.

    I hope you change your mind about doing the aerosol heat protectant video! I'm finishing the Living Proof one and although I like how it works and makes my hair feel, I can't handle the smell and therefore can't repurchase it (It smells to me the same as their dry shampoo which I also couldn't repurchase due to the smell).

I went to my naturopath recently due to hair loss I’m having and the gasp she gave me when she heard I was using Pantene…. 😂 she told me to stop using it because it could be the problem… and I immediately knew I was not going to listen because I know from your videos that there isn’t anything inherently in a shampoo like this that would be causing hair loss unless I showed signs of a reaction. I just started retinaldehydes after using retinols (with intentions to eventually go on tret.) I haven’t had much purge or irritation at all (did start low with retinol). Then I tried a Korean sunscreen. All hell broke loose (ai felt 15 again) with acne. So…THAT stopped. I didn’t use any actives except Salicylic Acid and Niacinimide for week and things cleared up though. I think using the snail mucin stuff from COS RX (Essence and Moisturizing Gel) has helped a great deal (both with that AND with stating retinols and retinals). All I’ve run into (so far) is a bit more dryness (so I pulled back and added a thick Cetaphil Cream at night). I also have a problem with my skin getting dry from sunscreen. The Neutrogena Hydroboost sunscreen (and a good pair of sunglasses so I don’t have to put it on eye lids and corners of eyes) has been amazing. Then again, I’m someone who likes my skin feeling VERY moisturized.

I used to be fully no sulfate no silicone high end Sephora hair stuff and I couldn’t figure out what I still had breakage despite no heat and highlights once a year 🥹 i started with epres, then added in the ogx oil, then Pantene volume n body and then the dove 10-in-1! (Also lamellar water based on ur old videos) just in a few short months my curl pattern is so much nicer and I feel like my breakage is finally growing out.
    Just bummed that I should have started earlier instead of being skeptical of sulfates/silicones for highlighted hair. I won’t have the hair length that I wanted for my wedding but it’s much healthier and I have you to thank for that!!!

    I have a similar story. I used a well known Korean Sunscreen that made my face go nuts (cystic acne). I felt 15 again-except my skin was dry and irritated too. It calmed down after about a week (I only used snail mucin essence-adding Niacinimide in the day) and moisturizer from Cos RX and the basics, as well as little makeup as possible (or none on weekends since I stayed in anyhow). The only active I used other than Niacinimide was Salicylic Acid in cleanser and gel form (at night). Fortunately it’s almost gotten back to normal and I’m back to my routine. (I do feel as if I’m having to repair my skin barrier a bit though with extra moisture. Including drinking A LOT of water). I don’t know what it is, but I think I likely have an allergy to one of the actives in Asian Sunscreens (not sure what…??? 🤷‍♀️).

    I personally love the Aussie Miracle Volume Shampoo! It's given me such a wonderful cleanse every time and I now refuse to go back to shampoos that leave sebum and build up behind.
    Now I'd love to know how you incorporate dandruff shampoos into your routine. I recently bought Head and Shoulders shampoo and I think I like it so far. I don't suffer from dandruff or SD, I'm just really oily.

      Hey! I’m not sure if this would help but I started incorporating head and shoulders (the one with apple cider vinegar) into my routine and it’s been great especially if I have a lot of build up. I usually use Pantene volume or L’Oréal ever pure but the head and shoulders has been a thorough cleanser and still gives me lots of volume like the other shampoos! It smells lovely as well. Because I workout often, I typically wash my hair every 2-3 days and alternate between the shampoos. I try to use head and shoulders at least once a week as it reduces excessive hair shedding. Hope that helps!❤️
      Ps. I also get oily quick too (genetics/working out) but these shampoos help a lot!

    • @FaceItGrace
      @FaceItGrace 5 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @Humus__ do you double cleanse with H&S or do you use one shampoo first than the other? I've been double cleansing with one shampoo before going in with H&S and leaving it on for about a minute.

    • @Humus__
      @Humus__ 2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@FaceItGrace I used to double cleanse but I honestly feel like it was just another thing that social media convinced me to do that was unnecessary to do every shower. I just make sure I get a really good lather and spend a decent amount of time really washing my entire scalp and then I leave it on there while I do other steps of my shower routine.. so I let it sit for around 2-5 minutes depends on the shower but I make sure to always let it sit. So yes, at one point I would double cleanse and I’ve tried double cleansing with 2 different shampoos versus with the same shampoo and I definitely prefer using the same shampoo twice if I ever decide to double cleanse so scents don’t get mixed up as I love when my scalp and hair smells clean. I’ve learned that as long as I just thoroughly clean my hair the first time then it’s more than enough. There’s nothing wrong with using two different shampoos or double cleansing so maybe that’s just a preference :) see what works best for you. The head and shoulder with apple cider vinegar has an amazing lather like most voluming shampoos so it really does an amazing job at cleansing the scalp! Also, I have thin/fine hair and lots of it.

    • @FaceItGrace
      @FaceItGrace 2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@Humus__ good to know! I don't double cleanse because I didn't properly clean my scalp the first time, but as insurance. I find it helps me go longer between washes because ideally I'd wash every day, but don't have that energy.

    Hey! I’m from Brasil and I love your content ❤ Here we don’t have the majority of the products and brands that they sell in the US, the ones we do have are from the drugstore, like Dove, pantene, head and soulders and tresseme. Kerastase and Redken are like up to R$1000. K8 and living proof don’t really sell here. But I really apreciate the guidence, tecnices and your commitment to Science, that makes it easier to filter and spend my money with stuff that actualy works.
    Don’t get me wrong, here we have a great haircare industry, brands like soul power, Lola, apse and the ones from the drugstore. But there’s a big culture of Low and no poo, witch don’t work for my oily scalp and the hot temperatures. And people believe that you have tô follow a Hair cronograme: hidration (water mask), nutricion (oil mask) and reconstruction (protein mask). We know that hidration isn’t a thing, and it’s a marketing tactic tô make us spend more money.
    Now I wash my hair 3x a week, with detox shampoo always, twice, I use a cheap coconut oil with paraffin as a pré Wash treatment, use hair mask with amodimethicone, style my hear with sm multibeneficial cream and oil as evenly as I can and all my products are from the drugstore and most of them do as good or even a better job than the high end ones that I’ve tested because of silicones and sulfates 🧚🏼‍♀️ I also use a gentle hair brush and am trying to brush it with my lightest hand lol
    Sorry for the tiping mistakes, my corector is failing me right now.
    Don’t stop girl, you’re awesome and your work is valued, even tho I can’ t use your bond repair indications 🫠
    Sending love from São Paulo 💕✨ your profesion is fire 🔥
