Omg this is such a sweet love letter to the community! (and also suchhhhh an excellent way to tackle the TBR sis!) You SCARED me when you said you considered DNF-ing. So many people either vibe or actively dislike this book, so Im glad you're on team BWWAY! And someone said her writing style is like reading something written on a T3 calculator, and honestly -- 👀😂. And yeah, I think she has very honest, imperfect characters but this book was super concerned with ideas more than anything (and we love a book about ideas 😂) team anti-felix fersureeeee! rooney is a huge class writer, so i think you're right on the money with that takeawat. And love what you say about the necessity for the fall-out sometimes. Ugh! Loved your reading of this!

omg Kat’s channel is one of my faves and I completely agree. The way she experiences books and talks about them makes me want to read them even if I know it’s probably not my jam 😂. Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine will definitely be my next library pick up. I haven’t read litfic in a while and I need a good one.

Whew chile! The marriage topic in Sula was so subtle, but it hit. There was another part that had me deep in thought as well.
I always love your videos. I also read Eleanor Oliphant is fine and I liked it as well. While watching your video I purchased Bear town and I really can’t wait to read it. I also have the book Sula, but haven’t read it yet.😊

I did NOT expect that many gems from a hockey book. 😅 Be warned that it starts off slow and it’s so many characters. Like a lot! May I suggest that you read Sula when you’re in the mood for stunning, artistic, complexed writing.🤪💕

Seeing you loving Fredrik Backman made my heart happy! I knew you’d enjoy him. ❤ I’ve read the first two books of the Beartown series and it’s my favorite series, but I cannot bring myself to finish the third book yet. I just know he’s going to rip my heart out.
Beartown really surprised me. I can’t believe I loved it as much as I did. I’m still thinking about it. If only we lived in the same state. I need to do brunch and discuss that book. 😂 I heard people were sobbing at the end of the third book. Can’t wait to read the second one. I miss some of the characters already. 🥹

Joyce, may I recommend one of my favorite books to you. It’s The Brilliant Life of Eudora Honeysett. It is a beautiful story of an unlikely friendship between an elderly lady and a vibrant 10 year old. It touches on so many topics. I think you would really enjoy it. Hope you check it out.
