@@michaelofparadise Patreon my good friend
this just goes to show that Sid is such an underrated musician
underrated? he is famous af in Japan
@@MFSamus well, we are not in fkg japan lol
Nah Sid dont need approval. He own his lane if he want he can do anything like other crew members big respect our brothers.
Funny how famous musicians often get called underrated 🤣
Is he really underrated?!??
Did Sid bring the flowers? Hes such a gentleman 🖤
This was like living a personal dream through someone else and being just as pleased seeing it as if it was myself. So cool man.
I think the scratching and kind of hip hop influence is what made me fw slipknot so much. Sids got that sound
That's really cool! Scratching's definitely one of those things that is much harder than it looks, and Sid fuckin' kills it!
Hard as any other instrument. Who thinks tt is a noise joke is a total ignorant.
Idk, it looks pretty fucking hard lol
That said I've always wanted to learn. I'm a drummer and rhythm guitarist, so my internal metronome is already insanely developed. So at least I'd have an edge that way.
I was a turntablist for 10 years scratching everyday and I could do the Mr. Hahn parts of Linkin Park exactly, Dj Lethal parts from limp bizkit exactly but Sid's parts on Slipknot??? Just 50%, he is the best scratching DJ Slipknot could have. In the first album, in 1999, the tricks he performs were only for mega experts at that time.
"Scratching with Sid Wilson" needs to be a regular segment dude!!!!!!!
Yes please!!! I'd sub to that TH-cam channel instantly lol
Sid showing AJ how to be AJ the DJ. Talk about life goals lol getting Sid Wilson to teach you how to scratch.
sids just flexing at this point 😭
This really shows How big of a part sid is in slipknot, acutally incredible video and a Massively under appreciated Musician
Just got back from watching Sid and the boys killing it at Download. They had a pretty close camera on Sid and it’s amazing how much he adds to their sound, he’s on it all the time 🤘
8:21 probably the same kid that took a bite out of that crow back in the day. Came back for seconds
I'll never forget I stumbled upon this legend named sid at a Spencer gifts in San Antonio TX, he was buying a blanket, I recognized his transformers tattoo on his hand, then realized his hair was orange too! That's definitely sid! Immediately stood behind him, he grabbed my phone, he took the photo and left into the crowd! Sic show that night.
Sid makes it looks easy 😂
AJ, Now being a DJ by taking lessons from Sid. Now imma take his lessons LOL.
SID , seems so down to earth , nice guy
He's down to earth but he's an alien he speaks huttanese
Dude they even have almost same tattoos on fingers. You can't look me in the eyes and say they're not long lost father and son. Awesome video
Fun fact: The “Ahh” sample is also used by Joe Hahn(Linkin Park)
(ie. Session, Cure For The Itch, etc.)
Welcome back sid. Excellent with the Turntable!
Teaching us all how to scratch...that is a cool turn table
This is based! I’ve always wanted to see how an actual DJ can scratch and spin the turntables, it looks so fun! Especially in old school hip hop and even Nu Metal! ⭐️😎👍
Sid: " i thouched his hands!!!"
AJ: "your welcome"
Record = Ritchie Ruftone - Practice Yo! Cuts Vol. 1+2 Remixed (Floppy Disc Edition) TTW003F
I cannot contain my thrill and excitement being part of this Sid Wilson experience!
Whoo! What a fun lesson! :) Thank you for sharing!
Been a turntablist for over 20 years….I’d love to cut it up with Sid man….lucky dude!
Sid is actually a good tracher. I understood most of what he wslas trying to convey
finally sid is back in the house of masks 🔥
Sid is such a cool fucking dude.
The scratch king is here
\m/ X_x \m/ Always a treat when SID rolls through!!! Glad he brought the table with him!!!
It’s awesome because I’m going to be Sid 1999 for Halloween, and I’m dying to hear the surficing part
Exactly how I'd be. Makes sense until I do it on my own. I'd be horrible at this first time. 😂
He is a very good teacher. Just 3 sound clips and you can do so much
Once in a lifetime opportunity!
I love this dude,he’s so talented and down to earth to boot!
Sid’s a fucking legend
1:35 sounds like the beginning of chapeltown rag
I can only imagine being taught by Sid Wilson first hand... Super Sick AJ!!
I wish he had a masterclasses or a channel on TH-cam on teaching his style. I think he's one of the most underrated DJs on earth.
Anyone know what equipment he’s using exactly? I’ve always wanted to start scratching but have never known what to buy to start.
I knew he was good at scratching, i didn't know he was that good though.
He’s a genie
This should be a new series: mick teaches me to shred, vman teaches me to play bass
Sick! What a legend. I've been DJing for like 20 years. I can mix DnB on 3 and 4 decks no worries but can't scratch to save my fuckin life. It's a shit tonne harder than it looks huh
Damn AJ got into make a wish
Sid and aj are the best people to make you laugh especially aj😜 best Chanel on TH-cam amazing video as always 🤟
The turntable is a underrated instrument I wish it was used more in the music now a days or used more in rock and metal
Anyone that is not a patron will miss out on the thrilling moments like these!!
Why did TH-cam unsubscribe me and not send me the notification for this video 😡
I'm not even a fan of Slipknot, not my sound or style. BUT HOWEVER I do admire Sid as a DJ and DJing in general. Big into Jungle / DnB even some Frenhcore, Hardtek, and Hardbass. Majority of the metal world just thinks it's ⏸▶to be a DJ, and that's part the reason I kickback to electronica and became massively elitist over metal genres/bands.
Patrons got to see this months ago, think of the stuff we have gotten now.
Man you have to try to bring each one to the HOUSE, sid is hilarious af
man im jealous youre over here doing cool shit like this and im just birdwatching
People have no idea how hard scratching actually is, it's no wonder why you don't see it very much anymore. It only looks easy because the DJs that do it have put in 10,000 hours of work that you don't get to see
Bruh I was waiting for the bird jar story 😭😭too short
Become a patron 🤷🏻♂️
whats it like living out my dream aj?
It’s so enjoyable to watch you two interact 🤘
Sid its the man!!! what a legend!!
Never thought the DJ would be my favorite guy in any band, but here we are.
It's so crazy seeing the man I've watched live 7 times going crazy on stage and making ridiculous mixes to my favorite songs just hanging out, chillin, being just a genuinely good dude
This is damn cool!
If you're already a drummer you can dj. The hardest thing to teach someone is counting bars.
Nah, counting is easy… notes on a guitar? No thanks lol
Sid is so nice with it
scratching (or even small section of hip hop beat) in metal songs is cool when its used right but not too much
late 90s and early 2000s got the best metal music that used scratching and old school hip hop beats, for some reasons it got bad after that period of time
Sid the kid !!
Wow! Sid is sober. 😮
Dude, you are living THE dream!!! This is fantastic!!!
Lmao I touched his hands uhhh
Wow that is so cool AJ and tell sid I say what up
First of all AJ drums are an instrument and I respect that you play it🤘I do too
Second of all I love Sid Wilson and what he does is cooler then I thought!🔥🔥 your so lucky to have met him
I wanna see this but with Craig on his sampler/keyboard.
slipknot came out after i got into hiphop through thrasher skate and destroy game, and just before i got into D&B and jungle. the scratching and drums in slipknot tunes were my favourite thing in their music (also their videos too). this is cool stuff. thanks for the video
When I see Sid and A.J I click
Sid Wilson is one of my idols !
Im still waiting for y’all’s podcast haha, it would be sic
When it comes to music, especially genres such as house, rave, techno and other similar genres, Sid REALLY knows his shit. I spoke to him briefly about music and he is pure knowledge, sadly the conversation wasn't as long as i wanted it to be, because Jack Daniels made an appearance!
Lucky guy right there learning from the best and the coolest dude ever
Sid feels like a good time
Wow man Fuckin SICCC!!! Dude seems super Fuckin cool man.
slipknot is more than just a band....slipknot is a fucking family that we as a whole have created! a religion that we'll forever carry in our hearts! we as fans must pass it down to the next generation of young metalheads! repeat after me.... LONG LIVE THE PULSE OF THE MAGGOTS!!!
Saw them tonight at Download, and the loudest the crowd got was when Corey asked us to make some noise for Clowns family back home (his wife hasn’t been well), so they could hear it back in the states. You are exactly right about family, Clowns wife is one of us so we screamed the place down 🤘Thankfully, Clown was there so think his wife is on the mend ❤
Not a family. Anymore. More like a corporation/ brand/ business since Paul died. Then Joey getting kicked out and then he died, they were quick to jump on his bandwagon together.
Chris left and now Craig.
They’ve became KISS lol
@@solidsnake5317 Nah it’s still family mate, maybe a little dysfunctional at times but aren’t most families, plus it includes all of us maggots. Actually while Slipknot is a huge name now, it was probably more brand and business driven at the start, Shawn had his plans, stuck too them and it got them to where they are today, one of the biggest bands in the world.
@@Yosser70 i understand where you’re coming from too. 9 people would be hard to keep together. I understand that but from a different medium of entertainment. But it’s the little things that matter and count to me as a fan. Nothing will be the same without Paul, Joey, Chris, and Craig.
🥀🥀⛽️🎭⛽️🥀🥀
Sid is a Hero of mine and one of my all-time favorite DJs.
Your face the whole time says “I can’t believe Sid from slipknot is teaching me to scratch decks 😳 “ love it man 😂
Man I've always wanted to do that shit since I was a kid but I slowly loss interest in it but I still would love to do it and to learn form the DJ god! Man
I just about shit myself when Sid started popping off after taking it from Aj
4:54
7:27 Wow! It's the Eeyore scratching! OMG
I'd be so lost
I Wana hear the 🐦 story daf😂
Patreon lol
@@TheHouseOfMasks true. Got me there
I remember being in 7th grade in Mrs Roosevelt class. And slipknot was on my mind and when I was doing a test I was ever so slightly air dj to sic and I look up and see Robin looking at me like da fuck lol.
Been playing drums for 29 years and I know it's doing 3 sometimes 4 things at once but I could NEVER get the hang of scratching. It's a very underappreciated talent. I understand how it's done but it's not as easy as it looks and making it sound good is pretty difficult.
I started out a lefty in life, my school pushed writing with my right hand, I play a right handed guitar but I do a lot of other things lefty.
Pretty cool getting scratch lessons from Sid.....very cool...thanks for sharing this video
so cool .. he has such a cool style and sound
Sid is such a cool dude. Down to earth.
Damn now I want one 😂
Sid’s parts actually go so unnoticed sometimes❤
This is f**king SIC!! 🤘🏻🖤🏠🎭🙌🏻
Lol that's fucking awesome!
Remember that Sid did a scratch solo like this once 🔥🔥🔥
"All this scratching is making me itch"
The bird in a jar thing lmaooo why do I see clown sniffing it ?
