I'm specifically talking about the games coming out in China only. Not even Japan gets these games. These games are officially licensed by Bandai Namco but only for China for some reason. Unless Tencent money let them keep it China exclusive.

To sell more copies so it can reach a wider audience. It’s sellout behaviour honestly. Old DBZ games used to have blood on them but then they took it off over time as well

@@brosickness It's because now they already HAVE a wider audience who's interested, compared to back then when the titles were for a smaller, niche demographic at a time when ratings weren't as restrictive.
Especially for the core age demographic that Shonen Jump games are made for, ratings have a massive sway in totally cutting off a release to an entire audience, but even MORESO when you factor in those things across an increasingly global audience of fans in countries with vastly different rules.
Making a minor concession like that so that you're not excluding your fans from having access to your game is the opposite of selling out, but it's easy to spin any way you want to tell it.
