💬Plot summary:
In primary school, Li Yubing (played by Steven Zhang) was a timid boy bullied by his seatmate Tang Xue (played by Janice Wu), ‘Master Tang’. But they shared the dream of sliding on ice. When they reunite in LU, Li Yubing has become ‘God of Ice’ while Tang Xue is a nobody that has no dreams. Li Yubing wants to take his revenge but gradually realizes that Tang Xue gives him the courage to play ice hockey.
Meanwhile, Tang Xue also reignites her dream of short track speed skating with Li Yubing’s help. The two finally clear the air. But their life becomes difficult as figure skating talent Yu Yan (played by Zhou Lijie) and Tang Xue's first crush, Bian Cheng (played by Wei Tianhao) entering their life, added by the disturbance from campus belle Zhou Ran and the objection from their parents. Injuries in games and choices for their sports life also stumble and pressure them.
On the ice rink they love, the two turn their passion and enthusiasm into power and strength, sliding towards an unknown and impending future.

Whether you are an adult or a child, a hurtful action is still hurtful. Just because they were kids doesn't mean that the emotions they felt were any less powerful. In fact, it probably made the emotions even more powerful. He may have seen their relationship as mostly antagonistic and so was fine with leaving her behind, but she thought they were best-friends (Arguably, they were really both. I see this a lot with kids. One being more bossy causes them to fight a lot, but then they turn around and play with each other again.) I would feel really hurt too if I found out that someone I thought was my closest childhood friend had actually hated and feared me the entire time. Especially if I was now dating this person and I had to find out from my father of all people. It's a major breach in trust. Heck, my feelings still get hurt any time I remember that one of my best friends told me they actually hated my art (I was 11, my heart was crushed and I stopped making art for an entire year afterwards. Not everyone would have reacted the same, I was always more sensitive, but me being a child didn't make the event any less meaningful in my life). Point is, she's hurt by what happened. It doesn't matter that they were 12 and years have passed since then, this was all new news to her. We shouldn't diminish the emotional impact this had on her. He wasn't truthful about it even when he acknowledged that he knew it would hurt her. Instead, he decided to have her fall in love with him first. Not the best way to start a relationship. As frivolous as the reason may seem to us, she had every right to break up with him over this.
agreed I would have let him go because trust was broken... As an adult he could have told her strait up but he was still either a coward or selfish ..the fact that he was willing to the things he did without explanation shows he cannot be trusted
I dont think anyone was at fault. She was bossy by nature and he was an introvert. What she had fun doing he felt being bullied. Maybe she should have understood and stopped at a point or smthng. But they were really kids so we cant say anything regarding that too. So saying it was fault of one of them would be unfair to both
@@ria1247 Exactly, both of them were kids. I wouldn't say either one of them were really at 'fault'. They both unknowingly hurt each other back then. No, it's his actions now that I fault. I can understand not saying anything at first, especially if he had no intentions at being close to her, but he decided to date her. At this point, he really should have said something. Especially since he knew it would hurt her (He thinks about it a few times, but never follows through, even doing everything he can to hide the information from her.) He built the first attempt at a relationship with her on a lie. Thankfully though, they talk it through and are able to start the whole relationship over again with a fresh start. Which I think is really sweet and mature of them.
@@vmmia5904 The point of starting dating with a lie is really not defendable but I think it was as his nature he was afraid where telling her later gave him more assurance that she will understand him better then. But on the gud note the show ended really well

Honestly no matter what age it was ....all kids can feel the pain of losing a best or close friend.,. It may be in the past yes they were only kids yes but doesn’t matter cuase that is what they felt and this affects people in all different ways
Imagine building an entire relationship with someone you were friends with in the past. That friendship becomes the foundation of the romantic relationship you have with him now.
She has just discovered that the entire foundation is completely rotten, making the structure it supports (the romantic relationship) worthless.
Now her entire view of herself is completely shaken. Was anything that happened back then real? She can't be certain anymore. By this point any self confidence she might have had is gone.

Why are they so mad at him for something he did at 12? My goodness he was just a kid and truthfully she was very bossy.
Then why did he hide it . I know it's a silly matter but he had many chances to tell the truth . If she had known the truth from him then maybe she will accept that with a smile . Now the situation turned worse because she got to know that her boyfriend was lying to her from her father . It was a kind of embarrassment for her .

I would usually agree that this situation is dumb but in this case it was the foundation of their relationship and she eventually fell in love with who she thought was her childhood best friend. Idk about you but personally I’d be hurt too knowing the one you’ve cherished since childhood actually feared you and borderline hated you which led to lies that only made the truth hurt worse.

I did end up dating someone like that in the past but he was honest & upfront, so we cleared the air quickly.
