Your seriously-good, seemingly-effortless keyboard chops coupled with your child-like delight make these demos really a pleasure to flip to and sit through!
Nice shout out to The Batt Man! Definitely the best synth keybed available new today.. with that lovely polyphonic aftertouch :) I have the original Hydrasynth and it's tempting to upgrade to this bad boy..
@@e-conrecords4665 I know everyone loves that Fatar keybed and I have plenty of nice feeling Fatar keybeds.. but Fatar do deserve some flack for not having a poly-aftertouch option for soooo long. Synths like the Solaris would have loved to have a poly-aftertouch capable Fatar keybed in them. A few years ago Syntonovo were modding Fatars with poly-at and side-to-side modulation, but only ever showed up on a demo unit at Superbooth (was for their PAN synth)
@@Wagoo this is true. I’d still like to see a company like fatar put some R&D in a decent mini key keybed that doesn’t feel like a sponge. Mini keys get a bad rap.. and rightly so.
Sounds like they/ve rearranged patches on the deluxe compared to the original. I have an original Hydrasynth and love it! A lot of good patches are buried, and of course, you can play around with editing, and a lot of times the patches just sound so different and awesome. A very underrated synth still.
The hyradsynth is the first synth I am having so much fun to play and explore. Absolutely Loving it. Quick question, how did you learn playing piano like that. Especially the brass sound at 11:46. Is that considered jazz? Do you have any advice what a good learning path would be in order to get such nice groovy bass lines?
The HS is great just have to watch the vibrato with the poly after touch. A little goes a long ways. Subtle is best. A wide vibrato starts to sound like a bad opera singer with too much vibrato. But the poly after touch is very unique and musical making the synth worth the purchase just for that. It has sweet spots which you have to find and then you have it.
Amazing sound from this Deluxe. It sounds slightly more hi fidelity than my Hydra 49. Supposedly the same sound engines but this just sounds cleaner. My Deluxe is preordered and can’t wait to get it !!!
It's configured to allow voice overflow to another hydrasynth too, I think. Might be interesting to see what sort of big chord or long, flowing reverb patches could be done with up to 24 voices on tap.
I decided that this year I will not buy another synthesizer. Hydrasynth is very much on my head. The first 5 minutes almost broke me again ... I hate you mate :D
Poly AT.. On a Normal Synth Keybed...... I wonder why only in the more "modern" synths, only Ensoniq had it? Probably the patent ? Be interesting to see how this Chinese manufacturer managed it, when no other recently have, until ASM.
So I use the Hydra49 with it so I can have multiple voices like a real cs80 (using vst and the internal synth itself it gives you 3!). It’s pretty epic. Struggling not to pull the pin on a deckards dream….
I gotta have both I think. Arturia has that warm, smooth Analog with that nice hybrid expressiveness. It’s been hard for me to like the hydra, but I admittedly do for what it is, it’s a beast.
@@aqueous5099 nice! I love my polybrute, with the latest update I'm able to use it as a controller so I picked up arturia pigments and it's been great. Pigments gives me tons of inspiration for doing my own patches on the polybrute. You can think of the A and B of each patch as a wave table and it's great
@@josephs2791 Thank you for the tips. I was VERY enticed by the update that essentially makes every parameter midi controllable. Perfect for working in post. Keep well and stay safe during these uncertain tribulations ✌️🤟
Please do another video on this guys, I’d love to know how jack finds the interface, I know how dissatisfied he’s been in the past with some companies not making it intuitive enough for novices or even medium level players! So I can shamelessly attempt to live out my vangelis & tangerine dreams!!🤦♂️
I love the look and sound of this machine, but when the hell will the Deluxe ever get to Canada? Seriously, they need to ramp their production levels up. I've yet to even see the originals.
So I got the explorer, and thought I need the bigger version. Playing the bigger version and God dropped 1K in my lap. So now I am waiting for the Deluxe. All within 1 week time. 🤣 This synth was a classic even before sold. And you guys know how to get the best out of it. Love your vids. (Make a patch contest between deluxe and Rev 2 16? :-)) 👍💪
WOW! The presets REALLY suck when you know what the synth engine is capable of. Weird that they didn't include patch select buttons now that they have the real estate for it, that's the only deal breaker for me. Changing patches by spinning a knob live sucks donkey balls!

“That’s the wallet crying” 😂 Great show guys, even had a little Falcon action in this one👍🏻.
So funny man hahaha! 😂
The keybed and polyAT were truly a revelation the first time I played it. I almost cried. I never saw a synth so expressive.
*Great demo!* Love your playing at the end with Suitcase patch, wish it was longer!
Nice demo, and didn’t even get to the multi layered patches! Lovely playing as always
I find it encouraging that Jack teaches us how to play these pads in such an easy way
Keep in mind these are only the single mode patches and didn’t touch multi! 😃
Sold! Great demo, thanks guys.
Man. That first patch. You guys playing. You melt my black heart. 😂
This synth is in the right hands! You boys employ gorgeous, beautiful chord voicing!
big man plays such tender melodies :) Great intro review.
Love the little ditty you played with the last patch . Cute and catchy. :)
Oh man, my “no more synths” New Years resolution is already in jeopardy 😳
I pre-ordered this the very day that the first video came out. Please do a longer video.
I love how the signal path lights brighten as you play showing what’s being utilised and by how much! Man I want one of these things hahaha!
Thanks Felix for those chapters! Thanks Jack!
This is the most excited I've seen Jack in a while as this is an instrument you can get excited about 😍
love the arpeggiated sound at around 7:30 and the melody that you played.
Nice shout out to The Batt Man! Definitely the best synth keybed available new today.. with that lovely polyphonic aftertouch :) I have the original Hydrasynth and it's tempting to upgrade to this bad boy..
I know what you mean , I've got the original too , so tempted to upgrade.

It’s a nice Poly Aftertouch keybed… but the best feeling keybed to play on any synthesiser is still firmly held by the Access Virus

Awesome I wish I’d not got the smaller hydra now knowing this is available, however mine is still very awesome
Man these videos are great. Thanks for sharing the love. I never thought watching a beardy man play a piano could be so funny.
I have the Hydrasynth Keybaord version and it's a beast! Poly Touch is amazing
Wow that patches sounds so amazing. Greetings from Germany.
When I get mine next week, the first thing I'm doing is changing the name of Suitcase 2 to Widdly Widdly!
I love good reviews with melodic playing . I want one now or at least test one !
Great video as always!

That patch " Suitcase markII" dayum
Sounds sweet and a lot of synth for the money.
Thank you cause I want one but it’s cool watching ya vibe it out sweet🎼
great playing
That might just be the big poly the world has been waiting for. Well done Glen D.
Amazing sound… would like to hear the bitimbral/split patches
I thought there was a bigger wavestate coming as well what happened to that?
Covid :/
The Falcon plays ☺️
this and the PolyBrute are pretty much all I would need. Probably.
I see you have it on the output desk. Is it too big to fit on the keyboard tray? Just wondering if it will fit as I have the platform desk. Thanks!
Can I use this in FL studio as midi ,and can you also add more sounds on this!!
Very great synth fried

That ribbon is asking for Blade Runner hahah… Where’s the update vid of your bday synth Jack 😉
A super expressive key bed , making this a genuine real player’s synth.
Is this a front runner in Jack s quest for a poly synth? 👍

VHS Dreams was AWESOME! Shit, it was all fantastic….
I agree - VHS Dreams is freaking awesome!
The suitcase mk 2 ( 12 .52) sounds as good… if not better than many dedicated stage pianos
Is this true or not?
How does the keybed compare to the polybrute? I have the polybrute and I'm looking to also grab a hydra

I see when it comes to audio interfaces they've decided to go with Universal Audio. Also the synth is great.
It’s an amazing synthesiser! I’ve bought my Casio PX-S3000 from your music shop and now I’m sorry 😄
This gotta be a new dream machine. well documented here
is the aftertouch per key like the cs80 or every key pressed, like say DSI does?
It's per key!
Per Key! just like the CS-80
When you hear owners of multiple CS-80s singing the praises of the Hydrasynth keybed.. you know it's good :)
Ok, now I have a new desire for a Chinese synth...I hate you guys...seriously, love the channel & awesome job.
That last patch should be named “Write a Doobie Brothers song!”
I was totally totally hearing that too and even the brass patch.
I wish mine would hurry up and get here.
My hydrasynth deluxe is stuck in customs :( hopefully I can rescue it and give it a proper home
This and a Summit and I'll be good for ages.
Damnit, gonna have to get some more credit card points! If I could only part with my V-Synth GT to help with the budget.
