- Ados hits the South Island as Nicky fishes with 5th generation fisherman Brendan McCauley. He shows Nicky the ropes in the sunshine capital of NZ, the stunning Peloris Sounds in the Marlborough region. They come across a huge variety of South Island marine life and they also get the kids get involved.

+Basic_Fishing There are actually a ton of them up here in the north. They are extremely common in the deeper water. I was puka fishing and had a big circle hook on and it got destroyed! I had no clue what I was hooked onto but when I landed it the cod was like 3 KG. There was plenty of other ones as well and this was at Great Barrier Island, out from Auckland.
Gosh would love to go fishing down south one day. Looks beautiful.

+Don Szabo Red Gurnard. It's a bottom feeding fish also known as a "carrot". One of our top eating fish in New Zealand. They are suckers for softbaits and lucanuses but bait usually delivers the goods.
