According to the IGFA, you only have to touch the leader for it to count as a catch.

Being a Florida native I suggest you plan a fishing trip to the "Ten Thousand Islands" area on our south Gulf coast. Great fishing awaits. I can't recall seeing any content coming from there.

batter and bread the shrimp of fish and put it in the freezer for a few minutes to harden the batter.......when ready......brush with butter and air fry

Personally I count a catch when I can put it on the deck because if it gets off the hook you didn’t CATCH it, you only HOOKED it!

A catch only counts when your hands have control of the fish.

I think of a catch as one that’s landed, or in the boat. Have the boys tried tartar sauce?

It only counts as a catch if you get it in the boat or on the bank.
Honestly to me it's about I consider a fish caught when it gives up. I don't worry too much about anything small enough to boat flip they don't count anyway lol

Why are the Bait fish attracted to the big ships?... Shade? Protection under the ship? BTW...Enjoy those two boys at that age... They grow up too fast and disappear. Your will have only memories ...

I'd be careful letting small children eating mackerel with all the mercury in it.
You dont always have to touch the fish or land the fish to count as a catch cause sometimes you pop them off or un hook them in the water. To count as a catch you should have enough control of the fish to take it home if you wanted.

I dont watch fishing if you are on a boat sorry all about inshore.
Air fryer cooks with radiation, I think it’s much healthier to cook it on the pan or grill
