I like the nuance that having both dash and run cancel offers. Like with high tech jacqui you can confirm 121 cancel, dash, stanky leg, and still run for the rest. If its blocked you run cancel and jail instead. Even scorps basic shit is cool bc he can do dash and run cancels in combos for different reasons.
ye I would also prefer dash canceling over run canceling as well. Unless the run stemina meter recharges more quickly. The stamina shouldn't give you an ability to have unlimited gapless pressure, but it should allow you to run more frequently.
I could be so wrong but im pretty sure at 5:43 the xray track from wherever the opponent was when its pressed? and i dont think ive ever seem trem's xray go behind him and since he pressed it when lam was still in front of him (hitbox and frame perfect btw, 1 frame later and i think it woulda turned trem around) during the jump it doesnt track like that. big brain by lam fr.

I think dash cancels are better, you get to control your movement in neutral much better, mkx would've been perfect with that mechanic minus the run cause people just run up in your face and start mixing
