As a massive Yamcha fan I still hate how it was written that Yamcha cheated on Bulma. Arguably the biggest character assassination out of the series. I really wish they would just retcon it since it’s been so long
For real. He was always faithful to Bulma. I guess Toriyama wanted to come up with Trunks without making Bulma look bad since she was like the 2nd protagonist of DB.
It genuinely makes no sense at all given he had a fear of woman and not only that but we even see in the og Dragon Ball that Yamcha had naturally fan girls who he has no control over and that when the two had their first lover's spat Oolong really had her number when he told Yamcha she's just being insecure when both him and Puar were defending him from how she treated him badly unfairly and even despite all that Yamcha was still in love with her which Bulma eavesdropping didn't let him finish in saying so. So when you look at their relationship and how it crumbled, Bulma was the de-facto problem because it's clear she wasn't emotionally mature for a relationship yet from how insecure she was in thinking she was being cheated on and so if anything it's likely after Yamcha's puppy dog first love broke things off with him that he was heartbroken that he would then become a player with girls to fill the hole in his heart.

Otherwise he would have been public enemy number one on the father's hit list.
