The process is nearly as beautiful as the final product. Am I right in thinking that the colors on the table are realized by scraping to different depths in the previously laid down lacquer? What phenomenal skill!
Title shouldn't be "A Talented Artist" it should be "Talented Artsits "because each one of them did an amazing job.

बहुत कलात्मक कारीगरी है। इस कारीगरी को कभी लुप्त नहीं होने देना। उस्ताद हमेशा अपने चेलेऔं के माध्यम से इस कारीगरी को आगे बढांते रहना है। यह कलाकारी खानदानी होती है। जो हमेशा अपनी बडे बुर्जगों सीखने को मिलती है। इससे खानदानी घरानों का नाम चलता है।
Usually,one person creates a great work of art. However,in this case, the gentleman who did the carving at the end could not have accomplished such beauty without all the other men contributing. Truly a great work of art by many!!

The precision in their work is stunning. I was amazed by how the artists were using their fingers as a measurement guide while scratching the design out in the board. Wonderful delicate work; this must be preserved at any cost. I assume these artisans are from Pakistan. I have seen similarly designed furniture at their stalls in a trade fair.
These gentlemen make wondrous art with their feet & I can’t even see mine!
I must admit that cutting a sheet of plywood on a scroll saw is quite an impressive feat. First rate craftsmanship
The first cut is a rough cut - not touching the line. After they reduce the sheet to smaller, more manageable sheets, than they cut to the line.
I love the way he uses his feet as an extra pair of hands - must take a lot of practice and I hope that he never looses a toe!!

Я сама художник и очень даже понимаю что такое рисовать , А ТО ЧТО ОНИ СОЗДАЮТ , ДА К ТОМУ ЖЕ НА КОЛЕНЯХ , ДА В ТАКИХ УСЛОВИЯХ , ЭТИ РАБОТЫ ДЕЙСТВИТЕЛЬНО ПРОИЗВЕДЕНИЕ ИСКУССТВ . (Вы представляете что будет с их глазами и с седьмым шейным позвоночником , через пару десятков лет. Сейчас мне пятьдесят и у меня проблемы со здоровьем , а я трудилась в гораздо приемлемых к удобству условиях , правда и засиживалась за работой по 8- 10 часов , перекусишь бутербродиком и дальше -творчество зовет , а теперь -- пару часов и принимаешь ,обезболивающие). Желаю всем , всем здоровья .

Absolutely stunning art here! I was captivated from the beginning to the end of this video. I have always wondered exactly how pieces like this were "painted" so intricately! As an artist, it never crossed my mind that the "scratch board" technique was how this was being accomplished. It's truly amazing to see all the hard work each station puts into this. From cutting to color to the actual scratching of the art to then putting it all together. I have just one question? Is there a final layer of a protective coating so this does not get scratched any more by the owners?

No its not that cosly.
1/ the dimensions of some patterns are about the size of what can be drawn without moving the wrist, so it always ends up the same size without too much thinking
2/ the spacing and the similarity is far from perfect, just look at a still picture, you will see some obvious differences
3/ once you' ve made the exact same patterns for 80 hours a week for a few weeks, you can basically do this without thinking too much....
1 rupee is equal to $US 0.013. now do the math hehe
