she has that wonderful little scratch in her voice. I saw her once in the late 70's in Los Angeles-absolutely fantastic. and as a bonus, she's been clean and sober for many years-a great example to so many that life can be great without drugs and alcohol.
love this! thnx for posting! boy, this seems like a LONG time ago - before the grammy blitz when mainstream DISCOVERED her! :) she DOES just get better with age, and she IS the Blues!!!!!!!!
Bonnie, thanks so much. I first heard you in 1988 with the Nick of Time album. My Ma remembers you from Runaway in the 70's. Thanks for all you do. I miss the Love Letter video with the craptastic dude, trailer home, and lizard. Anyone know where to find it?
I love how the person who edited , produced this or whatever. Assumed that the lead guitar must have been getting played by the guy. During the guitar break you see the guy.
i'm a musician. bonnie is the shit. no doubt. still, as i watch this intro, i cringe at the billion times i've been 'right here'......big moment, audience waiting, and..... they're doing a change over, the 'really excited announcer wasn't 'clued in' to WAITING till the right cue, and getting a confirmation that perhaps, all the god damn mic's and monitors were placed. ughh. she comes out, and has to stand there for.....well....seconds. which i swear to you, in an eternity ONSTAGE

Why are people who drowned their miseries in drugs and alcohol role models? The people who didn’t are the proper models.
Now that´s what I call good music. She´s got a lot of soul.

I wouldn't say she is better than Reba. They are both equal and wonderful. I grew up listening to both of them and have much respect for them both.

I cannot find the original MTV video on You Tube. Does it exist? Was a great one.
If you're still interested, i've just uploaded the original video for this on my channel.
@gsephton1 No! It's not you! She has gotten sexier with age! I think her art has reversed time ! So has her voice! Like fine wine!
This was on April 16, 1990, not 1988.

she's quality. song sounds a bit like Dirty Laundry (The Eagles)
I had a back-alley affair with Bonnie Raitt in the autumn of 1987. She was really drunk. She may not remember the passion we shared. I sure do.
