I lived in Brandt Hall for two years before it was Brandt Hall (79' & 80'). It was the Rhoads Hall annex......only 3 floors. First floor was the multipurpose room, 2nd floor was men's dorm, and 3rd floor was the women's dorm. One day, I came back to visit VCU and the 3 story annex was no longer there. Instead it was a huge tall building....lol. VCU has really grown over the years. Heck they just tore down Glades.....which were built back when I was there! I still call them "the new dorms" because that is what we called Glades back then :) I love VCU! And I hope you look back on your time at VCU as fondly as I do so many years later.
This video was the bomb for me! (I love Banks so I was basically jamming with the music the whole video. Love the remix.) I plan on definitely applying next year as a Biochemistry major, but I'm not sure what dorm I would be in, but nevertheless this video was extremely helpful. I love the Life at VCU video suggestion- I need to know how "bland" the food is! Definitely subscribing!
So is the common room basically where multiple rooms connect to? I thought dorms were kinda like hotels where you have a long hallway with multiple rooms not a room within a room.
Thanks! In Brandt a shared a bathroom with 3 other people: My roomate and the girl in the room next to mine. In an 8 person suite there are 4 rooms and 2 bathrooms. Each bathroom connects 2 rooms. If you're asking how we dealt with sharing the bathroom, we never kept our personal belongings in the bathroom really. We all used bath caddys. We divided who would bring what to decorate the bathroom before we got there.
