Seeing Endeavor break down in tears and apologizing to everyone brought tears to my eyes. He may have started out as a jerk, but he truly sees the error of his ways, and regretted them.
Sacrificing oneself to protect the people they care about is a heavy burden. And most of all, being responsible for all this mess someone has done is also a heavy burden.
Beforehand, Shoto was called the “hero of the family,” and after this, yeah, he absolutely is. Not that he wasn’t before. And honestly, for as horrific of a person as Touya has become, I think it’s only right for him to be saved by the family and make sure he doesn’t game end himself. It was great timing too since Endeavor had just given up on Touya again. The emotions were complicated as heck this time around, but I’m hoping that Touya can finally find some level of peace.
I think it would have been more merciful if you just killed Dabi. He's kept alive by machines but still slowly dying without having any quality of life? If I were him, I definitely would welcome death with open arms.
I really felt Patrick Seitz performance here. In this scene, I saw Endeavor as a broken man profusely apologizing to his family for abusing and neglecting them knowing he can never truly make up for his actions. A little spoiler for those who haven't read the manga, but I think I understand why Endeavor was planning on retiring after the Final War. I don't think it was just because of his injuries, but also because with his family life exposed to the public he knew no matter what he did there was no turning back from that. It was also so he could spend more time with his family however way he can and to protect them from the fallout of his sins.
No matter how sad it is toya/Dabi who's basically now nearly dying and burnt from the skin, still cast undying enmity to his family and mostly his dad, and honestly I don't blame him he had to deal with as a kid, who wouldn't pass on dying enmity? (enmity means hatred btw)
Everyone compares Shoto to Zuko in a lot of ways, but there's a big difference right here. Zuko gave up on his sister and had to lock her away, but Shoto's not giving up on his brother.
this anime really is great. The story telling, development, dialogue, fight scenes are way ahead of its time. I believe its cemented itself as one of the GOAT's for this generation and its not even close.
This part gave me a goosebumps. But im just disappointed of how strong and invisible they are making to tomura shigaraki. That guy is so persistent and not easy to die even if his body got blown away by deku smash.
I hate that Iida was pretty much relegated to a support character in the end and that his "moment" was basically to carry someone from one spot to another really fast 😑
They brought back Stain for like half a minute as just to he watch Iida, I kinda hope we'll see him and Iida in the final season, depending on if Stain has any desire to catch up to wherever Iida landed - a nice way to round off Iida's character arc and possibly tie up Stain's who hasn't done anything in ages
I think Iida became everything he wanted to be. A hero who helps lost children find their way home. He was a support character, and a damned spectacular one at that.
@@Cloud-dt6xb Like I said, his "moment" was to carry Shoto from one spot to another. I would rather would have seen him participate in a fight and have his moment comparable to Bakugo, Tokoyami, Hell even Mineta...
I don't need a final fight from Iida to close out his character arc or to show us (the audience) how far he's come. Integrity driven, courageous, compassionate & a good friend who'd do anything for anyone asking for a hand. He broke the speed barrier for his friend, so that he can be there for his brother in the way he never had the chance to. It's great to me@@HeliosX28
Bro says he wishes endeavor was better written as if he’s not one of the most well crafted characters in the entire series 💀 you wish he was nicer? Like what does this statement mean?
@@SavveGaming I don't think he's as well-written as some people say. Like, I appreciate the realism behind his character, but as a character with an arc about atoning, he's honestly pretty sloppy.
@ I mean can you actually articulate what about his character you find to be sloppy? As someone who works in the story publishing industry, I am personally rather pressed to find pretty much anything unsatisfactory in Endeavor’s story arc. The only thing I see people complaining about is that he didn’t get a harsh enough punishment. And I can see that if you don’t believe in second chances or redemption, but as someone who does believe in those things, I find his story to be extremely cathartic. An older, jaded man that’s stuck in his ways gets the ever living shit beaten out of him by the consequences of his actions and that forces him to reckon with and overcome the past he created. I mean genuinely, if you wanna discuss we can, but just saying something is “sloppy” doesn’t constitute an argument.
@@SavveGaming I didn't go into too much detail because it takes a long time, but I'm more than happy to talk about it since you're being respectful and such. My issue isn't that his punishment isn't harsh enough, and I also used to quite like his character. Firstly, are you a manga reader? Because my problems with Enji's arc have to do with things that haven't been animated yet.
Endeavor has a better character arc and development than All Might. Endeavor went from being an angry jealous hero to someone who had layers and layers of deep emotions and disfuctions that made him the way he is.
Rei, Fuyumi, Natsu and Shoto had nothing to do with how Touya ended up the way he is. Touya wanted to be his father's ambition but couldn't control his fire and then got tossed aside. Then after his 'death' All for One got his hands on him. *Puase* And turned him into Dabi.
@@yellowred5305 How so? Because death does not mean impactful or mature. If that were the case everyone would kill off the main hero. But nearly no one does that. What Narrative purpose or what thematic relevance would be served having Enji die, verses having him live to atone?

David Matranga, Patrick Seitz, and Jason Liebrecht all deserve Oscars, because that was some Academy Award level performances from all of them.

@ Oh same absolutely. I kinda have mixed feelings on how this all turns out.
Indeed, most of the time I see Touya(Dabi) as a villain that is tragic and irredeemable.
Can we just appreciate Idea going all out to get shoto there in time. It literally took him out of the fight to get there that fast.

I really like the distorted voice dabi has
Yeah it's like his vocal cords is all distorted because of his Quirk making him sound like this
This has to be one of the best anime episodes of all time.
0:16 when bro text u thank you for everything

Dabi basically dies here a really really slow death
He doesn’t actually die but he spends the rest of his life in the hospital in a machine that keeps him alive
@ pretty sure at the end it’s implied that he’s dead
@@miktmikleson4891Tbf there’s not really a heavy implication. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s still somehow alive ngl
@You-Tube-n5k there's no mention or reference to Toya having died in the timeskip so it's entirely possible one way or the other
@miktmikleson4891 i don't think so. Doesnt he spend like 3 years in a coma then he has a machine that keeps him alive.

Well azula was even more crazier with no less chances of redemption
Being a hero with a family can be a huge burden😢
And with that, Endeavor, Shoto, and Dabi’s arcs all came to an end, and you know what? I’m satisfied.
I think It’s fair to Shoto to make it a sacrifice to Dabi brother to brother by taking a direct hit!
