Please never change. Don't spend the money on some fancy camera or some high tech editing software. Leave in the mistakes, leave in when the phone comes crashing down, ramble on with your great sense of humor, don't worry about showing us the same steps over and over in the process of each repair. There are plenty of other shoe video repair videos where they barely show any of the process, but they have fancy graphics and perfect video edits. Shoe repair, cobbler, shoe fixer, whatever, is a dying art, it's old school. Your simple videos, raw, and unpolished represent your art. Let the awesome quality of your work and your sense of humor be the center of the video.
Of course this just my thoughts and I don't represent your entire audience, but i am willing to bet that others would rather see all the steps and your explaination, and not flashy videos.

Definitely gets an award for engaging the audience. Dirty hands and dirty filters don't bother me. I enjoy his small talk and watching him work. His chat reminded me of when I was 10(49 now). I have fond memories of working for my grandmother after school. My parents couldn't afford much for the 5 kids. I would rake leaves, clean the chicken coops, weed the garden, harvest potatoes and misc around the farm. I wasn't raking a small yard, I was raking half the farm for hours and hours. Once in payment, my grandmother got me a pair of leather type shoes. Suede or nubuck thinking about it now. I loved those shoes. When the outer seam came a part, I tried to sew them with regular thread several times following the original holes. ;) They would last for a little while until I finally had to give up. That was about the same time I only had one pair of socks that I washed everyday for school. I sewed those up several times too... All these years later, life is not perfect but life is good. I am thankful for that.

You said these aren't 100%?? Oh, rigghhtt. They are 150%. Steve, I requested a video when I saw this re-dye on your Instagram page. Maybe others requested it as well, but I wanted to say 'thank you' and let you know that I enjoyed the "chat" portion just as much as the work and your typical banter! Cool to see how these were dyed, and also cool to see how a cemented shoe can be saved. No, it's not the best shoe, but it was still worth saving and looks soooo much better. The Blake stitch and SVIG top sole was a bonus. Not sure if the heel needed any adjustment due to wear or the added top sole. I think the key here is that the owner can now replace the top sole when it wears out, extending the life of the shoe. Well done!!!

Still impressed. I did not see how you attached the heel (one piece, it appeared). I had some shoes made in South America. Though the uppers were fine, the sole/heel came off. With a 'waffle design' inside of the heel nailing it to the foot bed would be difficult. The glue (on mine) had already failed once and separated. Perhaps you used a combination of 'instant glue' and contact cement on the heel, also. Still wondering in Memphis.

Short question steve.... on witch Temperatur does your superglue die? The superglue i use gets of the material at 60°Celsius(140°F)... at the time you put it under the lights i heard a voice in my brain screaming:.... noooooooo....🤣🤣🤣😉

Not sure about the temperature but when the surface has enough heat to blend both glued together that’s when it’s time to remove it from the heat lamp, I’ll have to see what temperature that is

Could the sole have been changed to a JR leather one and Blake stitched as you did or have a welt put in and stitched that way? I'm curious. Really shocked by the original build quality of what I'm sure was a very expensive shoe. Lucky it's now had the "Steve Touch".

Yes you could do it in a few ways. You could put a thin glue on welt and JR soles or just the JR itself . Both would be a blake stitched.

Love the video Steve, I think for 50,000 subscribers I like the idea of giving away some shoes and shirts.

Bedo's Leatherworks LLC ... that's sad, for a shoe of this price and the upper still very good looking.
but one could buy a proper construed shoe for that money. I think all your videos will sharpen the view of the people what kind of questions they should ask while buying shoes.

Thank you for posting the videos, I appreciate you explaining every step, could you possibly think about getting a wireless mic to clip on to your shirt? For some reason, you're very low on my side.

Maybe some Bedos homemade bookmarks or keyrings or something for the giveaway. I would buy either as well given the chance if you have the time to make them. Great vid as usual 👞👞

Omg... i adore a man who smokes a shisja... my hubby does it also sometimes... my sheikh... lol... so lucky we are married, or i came after you... distance is no problem... i imported my hubby from morocco... lol
I raised my kids as followed... when they were complaining i told them, you touch the robin and you have water... even hot water. There is a button in the wall and you have light. In winter you have heat and warm clots and you have a roof over your head... and above all, you have siblings and parents who loves you... you are all very rich... remember that...

Today I was shocked and confused[also disturbed] to see a Ferragamo with glued rubber soles. Thankfully, the rest of the video made up for it.

Shirt giveaways is a good idea. Btw how about selling gift cards for your services or one lucky winner gets a free repair.
