You can just tell the difference between a FIT student and a Parsons Student like the brands they wear, the way they talk and aura they have. Parsons is like the rich kid art school 😂
Loved the guy's comment about "fashion" and "style" being different. Having a rich daddy doesn't give you style automatically. I think that personally the people whose style I enjoy the most mix up thrifted, working class stuff (like workwear, Target, Ross, etc), personalized artsy stuff, with the occasional designer piece (can easily be 2nd hand). Just dressing head to toe in ridiculously expensive designer wear doesn't always end up looking that interesting. Although... if they're Japanese designers I'll probably end up finding it pretty cool!
Its like the saying “money can’t buy taste” where even if you have the means to get something for aesthetic reasons most of the time people will overdo it and will only buy it due to it being either branded or expensive af and it’ll end up looking gaudy.

i mean idk the culture at parsons specifically i have a few friends in fit and a few at the new school but not anyone in parsons but aside from how much people can afford my guess is that fit students value good taste over big brands since they are entirely a fashion school w people from broader walks of life whereas fashion at parsons is just one of the many majors so it's a more niche crowd

A lot of American brands obviously lol, I’m British love Italian brands lol. Moncler, moschino, palm angels, Gucci, stone island ect. I’m surprised Americans don’t wear brands like these lol

Why ... you should be teaching people with inspiration. Except druggy wannabe I can't see much done by those mainstream brands. Did they ever produced couture, did they ever show off, with something further than collaboration. At least Circa and Globe were offering more, they were into sports, into activity - actual streetwear. Nowadays streetwear is just a term for, I dress like a heroin addict. There is no style, just darkness. And we are not all Emo's, some of us want to show atmosphere, protagonism or just scandal.
