    Thank you sis. My 27 yo son has 3 plus feet of locs and I would like to style for him but didn’t know how. I started his locs at 12 and he knows how to re-twist at the roots but the washing and scalp is not in good condition. I told him if you won’t spend the cash to get them styled professionally then you may want to consider cutting. I have experienced that mildewy smell and he has lent. I wish we lived in your area

    Nothing is wrong with washing your locs at home, just wash it early enough so it can air dry through the day and give it like a good 3 days before styling are anything. This also depends on how long and thick your locs are as well.

    • @LovePanda-n4t
      @LovePanda-n4t ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah most people don't have the money and/ or time to be going to the salon just for a wash, that's ridiculous. Going to the salon is a luxury not a necessity (and that's what stylists say when people don't agree with their high prices too). People have been caring for their own locs forever. It's not like it's some overly complicated hairstyle, it's your own hair.

      I just posted this on another comment but wanted to share here too because this has really helped me from having them unravel: “What works for me doing my husbands hair is to two strand twist in the opposite direction that you roll each loc. so if each individual loc is rolled counter clockwise, then two strand twist them together going clockwise. Doing that makes all the difference when I do this for him In keeping them from unraveling from the top. Of course rubber band the bottom too ✌🏾”

    Good Video,
    But everyone’s hair is different when it comes to how long they wait to get their hair retwisted. However, I do the concern with ppl that wait. I wait about 3-6 months because my hair def does not matte up and I shampoo, detox, deep condition, and dry properly at home. But I also steam my hair when deep conditioning. I thinks good to wait at-least 8 weeks but ppl that want money will tell their clients to come back every two weeks and then I see that persons hair thinning.
