It would be helpful if actual disabled people did the demos. The man in the video is obviously able bodied and the bed is made for a tall person. I cannot get into and out of this bed without fear of slipping.
ENVYY SLeep-to-stand Bed DANGER! DO NOT BUY THIS BED if you are: less than 6’6”, elderly, have any health condition that compromises your balance, stability, are unable to support and reposition your weight independently. The configuration of this bed will NOT allow the average user with any medical condition to safely get into or out of the bed independently. Contrary to claims of addressing falling, the bed literally dumps the user off the end while lowering into the bed position. Without modifications, because of the thickness of the mattress and the height of the bed, it lifts the user off their feet without providing a stable seated position first. Also unless you are able to constantly adjust your position while loading - if you do get on the bed without falling - you will be positioned hanging off the end. IF you have already purchased this bed (As I did for my husband with Parkinson’s) you may be able to modify it to provide a safe entry and exit. We replaced the 6” mattress that was ordered with the bed with a 4” trifold gel foam mattress topper from Amazon - that immediately provided a more seat like surface for the user. We also removed the 4”legs which lowered the bed enough for my husband to enter and sit far enough back (he is 5’11”) so he was correctly positioned in the bed. What it does NOT do as sold: safely get you independently in or out of the bed -“ sleep to stand”, reduce the probability of falling when getting in or out of bed What it does do: operates great as an adjustable bed once safely in it. Hi-low mode works as advertised to raise the bed for caregiver. You should call the company to discuss modifications.
I have this bed and slipped onto the floor as I attempted to stand with walker in front of me. This bed just doesn’t seem safe for shorter females like me. I’m back to sleeping on my recliner. Disappointing.
Where do you put the bed clothes?
"Would it be worth it?" - so many times, this bed must be really expensive.
It is pricey…. worth the money if you’re a tall man as in the demo.
Any outlet sell8ng this in India?
