The only thing i want now is for the Characters to appear in other games. Super bosses, Serph and the Embryon, a collab with Dx2 in which you can get the demon forms of the Embryon.....i just love their designs
“I do comprehend” I never knew hearing someone say those words in context to fake would make me cry when I consider the end of his journey on earth and how that transitioned into his battle in the sun, he fought like hell to save everyone and died trying only to do the exact same thing again with no regrets because he knew it would help the people help more then it would help him, and better yet, he got the ability to live again on earth as a human
I'm surprised you didn't include the NPC dialogs in this game, A lot of them gave some reveals like Cielo's Origins, Heat's totally being cool with his BF and GF being one entity so props for him in the afterlife, and OG Argilla being *assumed* pregnant when OG Serph ate her.
@@peropero2208 From what I remember, Real!Cielo was the Cyber Shaman candidate before Sera was put into the program. He made Sera laugh, and she liked him enough that she recreated him along with Serph, Heat, and Argilla after he was killed.
DDS1 and 2 are absolute peak, probably my favorite JPRGs of all time. I'm very hard to make emotional yet damn, I _cared_ for these characters! Major props to the devs for ending a game on a massive cliffhanger _then having the followup satisfactorily answer every single question._ Also, I love the Brahman fight for spectacle and theme alone.
The fire scene with serph and sera is haunting and heart breaking. Thank you so much for making these videos. The high encounter rate really hindered my experience with dds. I own both but i felt like i was just pushing to get to the next cut scene. (disclaimer I do usually love older smt games) After debating it I came to your page as the dated mechanics were not making the commitment 100 Percent worthwhile for me personally.

Right before you go to the Sun so you would have to really pay attention before the end of the game. the NPC mentions a talented Caribbean boy who was a Shaman candidate
the worst part about the reveal of sera's parentage is every person who ever faced DDS 1's final boss didn't even know their taunting was in vain as angel could not go fuck herself for, she already had

Basically even in Mainline shin Megami tensei everything in the real world is still digital that's why you can summon demons and cast spells using computers hell if you're good enough program you can make a universe of your own just saying the demon summoning program or app can make the user physically tougher and weaken demons I'm pulling a lot from every different game and like infinite universes
Did it ever answer who Jinana was or her role in why sera recreated her in the junkyard? Mick, or Bat also? At first i just assumed Jinana was Agrillas lover but how would Sera have even known her? Story felt sloppy to me in the end with everyone sacrificing 1by1. Kinda glad i dropped it when i first played, but the music is fantastic mostly.
Oh my god, this is soo much better than persona 5 storywise or any of those weirdly overly teenage focused megaten games. Dont get me wrong, i loved most of the characters in persona 3 and only a couple of them in 4 but the persona games overall have a problem with focusing too much on weeby anime clichés instead of writing deep and interesting characters and the writers are just creeps

To be honest, I kinda dislike Brahman far more than YHVH. He feels far more like a force of nature rather than an actual character. On top of the fact that he doesn't really utter a single word. (Outside of that one line that he mentally sended to Seraph) I can only hope that the Quantum Devil Saga (A novel adaptation of the duology's original writer that shows her original vision for the story before she had to leave the development of the games due to health concerns) version of Brahman doesn't feel so shallow. The ONLY proper creator deity in Megaten that doesn't follow YHVH's footsteps of being a complete and total asshole is Hoshigami/Star Hair from Devil Children, and she is not even based on any real mythology!

At least the law ending doesn't gave me that vibe, yeah he orders the angels and Abel to kill the sinners, but he's willing to give them a chance once Abel proved that they can genuinely change. I doubt mainline YHWH would be that reasonable.

DDS2 shocked me! I'd played probably 100 RPG by then but having the entire party die during the story was absolutely wild!
