I realized today, that a IminMaj9 can be used as a substitute for a V7 in a minor key, as the raised 7th is the same note as the raised 3rd of the V7. The reason I specify a minMaj9 instead of a minMaj7, is because it has one more note in common with the V7, so it works better as a substitute.
