You are one of the brilliant people on TH-cam. I like your videos and your way of testing strategies. I would appreciate it if you could add some optimization steps in your next algorithms in conjunction with Walk Forward Analysis. Thank you!
Thank you for your supportive comment, I am glad these videos are of help. To be honest sometimes optimization is very demanding and time consuming this is why I avoid it in videos, but I can add something short about it in future strategies. Good luck to you in your trading!

Hello sir thank you for this awesome videos, my feeback to is can you try to bakctest strategies on a diffrent forex pairs ? I mean more volatile forex pairs because what i hate about eurusd it's sleepy pair it doesn't move faster like Gold or audjpy so this may affect the results of backtesting strategies, the other thing that i want to mention is can u use some specific conditions for the buying signal which is not the opposit of conditions of sell signal for example (crossover=buy ,crossunder=sell ,theese are two opposit signals ) the reason what i saying this is beacause when it come to bear markert it moves fast the sellers are not jocking (fear, lost faith in that asset that they are selling) hhhhh and when it comes to bull market it moves a little bit slower big green candles are rare (maybe as human beings it l's hard to pay money for something...) That's all i want to say thank you again for the great videos !
Thank you Youssef, yes you are right any system must be tested on different currencies, as for the second concern it is already taken into account but maybe buying systems should be different than selling systems

Winrate is just a tiny piece in the picture, don't depend on it High winrate systems have a huge "Asin's heel", that is, they only make money in a short time (1-2 years). When the market changes, they start to lose money, and you will run out of money before the system works again. As for the principle of "long take profit - fast stoploss", made money 100 years ago, still making money now and 100 years later 😁
this is extremely problematic as both ema and rsi would give out fake signals due to forward ahead bias. If you forward test it instead of backtest it you d see a lot of fake signals and reprints thus this method is flawed and should not be backtested
Hi, thank you, I am not sure why RSI and EMA are flawed with a look ahead bias, in python the upper edge slicing is ignored so we basically can't see any info leak from the future.
@@CodeTradingCafe still even without look ahead bias MA and RSI calculations will move as data flows in so what you d have is a lot of fake crosses or signals in this matter during live trading which will recalculate and “disappear” or “ repaint “ as compared to a future point in time. These calculations are not real time but expost t+period since it does need to finalize the calculation on future data . Therefore either you should be using an instantaneous MA or some sort of other calculations which would not depend on future values to calculate the final value.

Superb content as usual…in case you can code the VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price) with some strategies depending on it, it would be really cool :)
Thank you for your support, I will look into some VWAP strategies
@@CodeTradingCafe You are great, thanks a lot in advance!!!
@@CodeTradingCafe same interesst here
@@newbienoob1 I built a strategy using VWAP it's actually really good I will record a video it will be out in like couple of weeks.
awesome explanation
Thank you, glad you liked it!
hi code! backtesting Larry Williams RSI strategy! :D
I think it's worth the try, I will try it in the future.
There is another indicator called Range filter, hope you can cover it soon 😄
Will check it out soon
Hey man continue please .....😍😍😍
Thank you for your support 😊
Nice sir.. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for your support
Ema is lagged. Better use Hull Moving Average and its slope.
Thank you for sharing, will check it out, but I think any technical indicator will have a small lag
@@CodeTradingCafe All indicators lag. Anything that follows the price lags because It has to wait for price as input and then react after computing.
Thanks for you. Your Onions is the best
