Ultramarathon in Europe!! The Allgäu Panorama ultra 2023

If your company flies you to Switzerland for work, you take advantage of it! The Allgäu Panorama Ultra is a 70km race through the beautiful Allgäu mountain range in southern Germany. The race begins in Sonthofen and even crosses international borders into Austria! The race was a mixture of trail, gravel/dirt roads, and lots of asphalt which made the descents very brutal. The people were incredibly nice, I just wish I could understand them. The highlight of the race was running among the cows! All in all, it was an amazing experience. I finished the 70km race in 8 hours and 11 minutes with 10,000ft of vertical gain.

@@marinatedbeefcubes honestly I don’t have enough experience running with trekking poles to know if they would have helped. Lots of asphalt and really steep decents just shredded my quads
