Snowy Adventures of Rohtang Pass 2024

On the 10th day of our trip to Leh-Ladakh and Manali, we set our compass to Rohtang Pass: The deadly field of Corpses.
Rohtang Pass is just 20 km from Manali. It usually takes 45 minutes to 1 hour to reach the top.
These are some of the things that you should know about Rohtang Pass:
1. Elevation and Location:
o. Rohtang Pass stands tall at an elevation of 3,980 meters (that’s approximately 13,058 feet). Imagine standing amidst snow-capped peaks, with crisp mountain air filling your lungs!
o. It’s about 51 kilometres (around 32 miles) from Manali, making it a convenient escape for adventure seekers and nature enthusiasts alike.
2. Connecting Worlds:
o. Rohtang Pass acts as a vital link between the Kullu Valley (with its predominantly Hindu culture) and the Lahaul and Spiti Valleys (where Buddhist traditions thrive).

3. The Watershed Divide:
